All members were present. I�iinutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Requisitions in the Police Department numbers 20 to 31, inclusive, and in the Fire Department numbers 03424 to 03433 vrere approved. Claims, from the following suppliers against various departments, in the amount of �100.59 , also payroll for street painting amounting to �174.24, were approved and ordered paid. Co. 9.32 Shatford' s Leather Store � 6.00 ' Moore Parts, Inc. 7•82 FIRE DEPARTMEAIT - Chief Freeh present: The Chief reported that Raymond ��IcCallum, vJho was placed on the Fire Department probation January 1, 1936, had been recommended by his Captain as fully qualified as a city fireman. It ��as regularly mo�ed, seconded and carried that Raymond McCallum be placed on regular fire department on full pay from July l, 1936. A eommunication from �.lfred E. rdartin, Attorney, was read in connection with fire Pighting apparatus for use in tovmship outside of city limits, suggesting that a meeting of the Trustees of the various tovmships be called to discuss the matter. The communication was referred to the City Attorney for consideration and attention. The Chief submitted his budget for the year 1937 for consider- ation of the Board. ELECTRICAL DEPARTNII�IT - IV'ir. �,ualls present: E�r. Qualls reported activities of his department for the past week and informed the Boarci that he had removed the overhead traffic signal at Angella and Leeper Avenue. h1r. Burns submitted detailed repor� of the activities of his department for the past week, sho�ing total number of inspections � amounting to 396. bir. Burns submitted his budget f or 1937 for consideration of the Board. • POLICE DEPART�NT - Chief Lane present: The Chief submitted his budget for the year 1937 for consider- ation of the Board. A petition signed by nineteen residents in the 700 block on East j�enger Street, requesting that parking of automobiles on both sides of this thoroughfare be discontinued, was referred to the police department for investigation and report. The Chief submitted report of the Bureau of �ccident Prevention for the first fifteen days of June. This report also includes aotivities of the engineering section of this department, showing studies made of various intersections and traffic improvements. The meeting adjourned at 10:30 g. to2.
