A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday
August 17, 1942 at 10:00 A. P��T. Al1 members �vere present. l:�?inutes of

There bonds and cemmissions were approved and ordered filed.
Application for appointment to the Police Department was received
fro� Edward Van iiulle, 712 S. Columia St. but same was rejected due to
insufficient education.
Chief Ingrari advised the Board that he svould like tc send Andresr
Qrban to the Pol�graph school at Indianapolis, frorn August 23rd to
August 29, 1942. The Board granted this request.

A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety ti•ras held on tidednesday,
August 19, 1942 at 10 :00 A. T:i. All members rTere present.
Aley Andrzejeti�ski, firemen ;•ras promoted to the rank of Lieu�enant,
to act as instructor in the fire department.
On motion dulv made and seconded, the follo�rring resolution ti^Jas
adopted. That, Ted Carlson be appointed to the Fire Department, subject
to passing the examinatien reGUired by the Police and Firements physician
and by the physician appointed b5. the Firemen�s Pension Board, and
subject to a report being received by the Board from these physicians
within 't1�T0 Vreeks from the time of the appointment.
