Wednesday March 29th., 1922.
Board met in regular session at 7:15 P M. All members present.
P. J. Anderson City Engineer present.
Hearing had on resolution for Grade, curb and walk on Anderson
Avenue from Elwood ;Avenue to Kini. Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 940. In the.
City of South Bend, Indians.

In the atove matter remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrane
was filed, The Board after due.consideration decided and hereby rescind all former
.action on said resolution.

Hearing had on resolution for grade, curb and walk on King Street
from Portage Avenue to the west line of ',. Tic tory Addition, under Improvement Resolution -
No. 939. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
strance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that
the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements aBe equal to the
estimated cost of the same, a°s reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon
takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby ib
all things, ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 31st. day of
March 1.922 and on the 7th., day-of.April 1922 in the South Bend Daily -News Times -and
South Bend Tribune, stating that t'is Board will receive bids for the construction of
said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 18th. day of April 1922. The Board reservesh
the right.to reject any and all bids.
Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 941. for grade, curb and
walk on westerlyside of Portage Avenue from Elwood Avenue to Morris Park, in the City
of South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
strance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that
the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the
estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer and thereupon takes
final action on said resolution as originally adopted and the same is hereby in all
things, ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 31st. day of
March 1922 and on the 7th. day of April 1922 in the,,Souh Bend Tribune and South Bend
News Times, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said
improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 1& h. day of April 1922. The Board reserves the
right to reject any and all bids.
Hearing had on resolution No. 938. for the grade and mlk on
north side of Elwood Avenue from Portage Avenue to Test line of Victory Addition,
in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
strance was riled. The Board being fully advised in the premises, decides thatthe
benefits to property liaB le to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the
estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer and thereupon
takes final action on said resolution as originally adapted, and tie same is hereby
in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved.

Bend Tribune, stating that this Board will receive bids for the eonstruetion'of Bald
improvements up to 10:`00 A.M. on the 18th. day of April 1922.. The Board reserves
the right to reject 'any and all bids.
Hearing had on resolution No. 945 for the grade, curb and walk
on Swygart Avenue from Indiana Avenue to Prairie Avenue in the City of South Bend,
Indiana.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remon-
strance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the
benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the
estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon
takes final action'on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same -is -hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved.

March 1922 and on the -Jth. day of Aoril 1922. in the South Bend Yews Times and South
Bend Tribune, stating that this Board will receive bids for the eonstructio n of said
improvements up to 10:Op0 A.M. on the 18th. day of April 1922. The Board reserves the
right to rejet any and all bids.

City of South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearin a remonstrator appppeared and requested that curb and

confirmed and approved.

Hearing had on resolution'No. 937 for the,plpe sewer on Jackson Street
from Linden Avenue to Washington Street, in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearing. Mr. Glennon, Special Tax Agent J, J. Jerome ftd
Mr. Anderson, Engineers For the News Yprk Central R. R. Co. appeared ana verbally remon-
straled against aid improvement, but no written remonstrdnce was filed. And the Board
being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be
assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimate cost of the segme, as reported by the
City Engineer, and -thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted and
and the same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved. -
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 31st. day of March
1922 and on the 7th. day of April 1922 in the South Bend News Times and South Bend Tribune
stating that this Board will gdveive bids for the construction of' said improvements up to
10:00 A.M. Tuesday April 18th., 1922. The -Board reserves the right to reject any arse all
bids.
Hearing had on resolution for Pavement on Sunnyside Avenue.from a point
44 feet -south of the south Iine of Washington Avenue to the north line of Washington
Avenue to the north line of Washington Avenue from Sunnysdde Avenue to the east line of
Jacob Street, under improvement Resolution No., 943. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators.apppared and no written remonstrance
was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, de-cides that the ebenefits
to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost
of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes Final action on.said
resolution as,orig-Anally adopted, and.the.same is hereby in all things, ratified, confirmed
and approved.

from Miami Street to Leer Street, in the Cite of South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearng no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance
was filed. Arid the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides thatthe benefitp to the
property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimatedc cost of
the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on
said resolution as or inally adopted, and the same is hereby in all°things, ratified,
confirmed and approve.
Resolved further, that notices be published on -the 31st. day of
March 1922 and on the 7th. day of April 1922 in the South Bend News Times and South Bend
Tribune and in the Indianapolis Star on the 7th. day of April 1922 stating that this
Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. April 18th.

Hearing had'on resolution No. 942 for the Pavement on South Michigan
Street from a point 40 feet north of the north line of Fairview Street Is South to City
Limits, in the City of South Bend, Indiana:.

Upon said hearing no written remonstrance was filed but a number of
interested -property owners appeared. R. R. Smith Mice President and General M r. of the
Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railway Company appeared and stated to he Board that
the CRicago, South Bend & Northern I diana Ry. Company had surrendered their franchise,
but he would submit a proposition for his comppany in regard to certain work they would do
where their tracks were in Michigan Street. Mr. John Ta.sher appeared and requested that
that part of pavement south of Donmoyer Avenue be put in under a separate resolution, also
the matter of plilt Mg --inl-a + twerxtyo four foot pavement south of Donmoyer Avenue instead of an
18 foot pavement wags eaiscu;ssed and the. Board after hearing all interested parties,.,_de.cidd.dto
