Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present.
Bids were received, opened and read for pipe sewer on Indiana A -venue from
P,Micktgan Street to main Street. The. same were referred to the City Engineer for tabu-
lation to be reported on at meeting at 7:45 P.M. this '9th. daybof Nov.1915.
At the. Board's request fir. F. A . Bryan and Mr. Frank of Indiana & Micigan
,. Elea. Co. appeared before the Board, and the matter of lights in the City was- discussed,.
Mc. Frank agreeing; to meet with the Board Priday at 5::00 P.M. to check up lights.
The following order to the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company was approved
byt to Board and the ClErk instructed to notify aforesaid Company of same.
Younare hereby ordered to place 100 C.P. TYPE"C" lights at the corner of
Lafayette\ Blvd. and La Salle Avenue, Lafayette Blvd. and Colfax Avenue, Lafayette Blvd.
and Washington Ave. Lafayette Blvd. and Jefferson St. Lafayette Blvd. and Wayne Street.
There should be two lights placed at each of these corners.
As per your agreement with the President of the Board on or about January
gth.,1915 you agreed to discontinue the are that the Grand Trunk Ry. Co. is now main-
taining at the corner of Lafayette Blvd. and Division St and put instead two heavy
C.P. lights on the boulevard posts now at that corner, so wewll respectfully ask ,you to
place tvio heavy C.P, lights there, so that the are light may be discontinued. The bill
for the two incandescent to be rendered aga-nst the Grand Trunk Ry. Co. instead of the
are light. The C.P. light to be about the same as the present are light.
Communication received from Alonzo J. Hammond in regard to assessments
on Lots on Leeper Avenue for pipe sewer, was read and placed on file.
Communication received from Charles E. Smithin regard to gravel and. clay
�3.eft on lot 270 in Bowman Sixth Addition by contractor on the Bowman Creek Trunk sewer.
The.same was read and placed on file.
Communication from City Attorney Seebirt with an opinion in the natter
,,of an obstruction of 8-wman Creek by'Messrs Knepp r and Knepper, advising that in his
opinion the City is in no way liable for this nuisance. o

Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.P. All members present.
r Property owners residing on Franklin and Whyn6 Streets at the Board's
request appeared before the Boa--d. in., regard to the kind of lighting on above mentioned
streets. The majority of property owners wanted goose neck posts witzL lights with
reflectors.. The Board t€ ok this matter under advisement.
Hearing had on assessment ,roll and final estimate for Macadam pavement on
Tonti Avenue from Lafayette Street to Tedumseh Avemie, under Improvement 'Resolution No.
392. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrance was filed.
The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said r&li filed October 26th.1915
is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further
find that the assessment roll filed October 26th.1915 and the final estimate allowed October
26th. s1915.. should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for grade, curb, walk and
gavel roadway on Dayton Street from Marine Street to' Leer Street, under Improvment Resolution
No. 375. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.

Ih the above matter no remonstrators appeared and .no remonstrances were
filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filed Oct.l9th.
1915 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls , and the Board
'further find that the assessments roll tiled October 19th.,1515 and the final estimate
allowed October 19th.,1915 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved.
Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for grade, curb, walk
and gravel roadway on mill Street from Corby Street to Howard Street, under Improvment
Resolution No. 3g9. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were
filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roil filed Oct.
19th.21915 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board
further find that the assessment rolls filed October 19th.,1915 and the final estimate
allowed October 19th. ,1915 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved.

walk on Robinson Street from S.line of lot 9-Robinson's Plat to Lake Shore & Michigan
Southern Ry. Co. under Improvement ovement Re solut ion No. 399. in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no -remonstrators appeared and no remonstren ces were
filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filed October 19th,
1915 is benefitted 1n the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and th;t Board & rther
find that the assessment roll filed October lgth.21915 and the final estimate allowed October
19th.1,1915. should be and the same are hereby in alll things ratified, confirmed and

Hearing :d on assessment roll and final estimate for curb and walk on
bubail -Avenue. from High Street to Dale. Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 395. In the
City of South Bq-id., Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrace was
filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said m ll filed October
23rd.1915 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board
further find that the assessment roll filed October 26th.1915 and:the':final estimate allowed
October 26th.3,1915 should be and the same are hereby in a 1 things ratified, confirmed and
approved.
Property owners appeared and filed with the Board a petition for a
light on 5th. Street between Vine and Pleasant Street in River Park. The same placed on
file until a trip is made to investigate the same.
Communication received from Indiana & Michigan Elec. Co. stating that
order for lights of October 27th.9,1915. were all placed in ser'dice. The Clark instructed to
have said lights spotted on light map. Also order of Septeber 30th.,1915.
The following order was appr6ved by the Board and the Clerk instructed to notify
V the Indiana & Michigan Elea. Co, of same.
Indiana & Michigan Electric Company are.- requested to place the goose neck posts
as are now temporarily placed on Wayne Street between Taylor St. and Lafayette Blvd.
at the points where the boulevard lif*lts are now placed in the district bounded by Wayne
Street on;' the north , South Street on the south, Lafayette Boulevard on the east and
Taylor Street on the west, with these additions: -
One light on the northwest corner of Wayne Street and 'Taylor Street.
One light on Wayne Street at the alley between Taylor Street and William
Street on the north side.
One light on the alley on Wayne Street between William Street and Franklin Stre,:t
o the north side thereof.
One light on Wayne Street at the alley between Franklin Street and Lafayette
Blvd. on the north side of Wayne Street:
One light on Williarr, Street bet twf=en Jefferson Blvd. and 'Wayne Street at the
alley intersection on tree east side.
One light on Monroe Street at the alley between Taylor Street and William Street.
One lipt or. t_:e alley between Franklin Street and Willin Street.
One li+l.t on tie aley between F„aAklin Street and Lafayette Blvd.
These lights on Monroe Street shall be arranged in zig-zag order so as to
harmonize with other lights.
All lights in this district to be 100 C.P. Mazda Type "C".
