Board met in special session at 5:15 P.M, All members present.

The following resolution was adopted by the Board.-
dONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 42.
✓ RESOLVED: by the Beard of Public Works of. the City of South Bend, St.
.Joseph County, Indiana. that it is deemed and desired necessary to widen an alley from
the north line of Colfax Avenue to the southerly .line of Lincoln Way West.
By the condemnation and appeop riation of sufficient lots and lands
for such widening, specifically described as follows,to-wit:-
Begin on the nfl rth line of Colfax Avenue five (5) feet east of the
west line`of Bank Out lotl4,`thence east two (2) feet; thence north one hundred ninety
eight (199) feet to alley; thence west two (2) feet; thence south one hundred ninety
eight (198) feet to the place of beginning. Owned by James A: & Margaret I. Judie.
Begin on the north line of Colfax Avenue five and one half (5-1/2)
feet westof the east line of Bank Out Lot 15 thence west one and one half (1-1/2) feet;
thence no nth one hundred ninety eight (190) feet to alley; thence east one and one half
(1-1/2) Net; thence south one hundred ninety eight (198) feet to the place of begin ing..

Begin at the intersection of the north line of La Salle Avenue and
the east line of lot 11 Horatio Chapints Sub -Division of Bank Out lots 1 and 2; thence
west one (1) foot; thence north parallel to and one (1) foot distant from the east
line of said lot 11 to the northerly lime of said lot 11 thence south easterly on the
northerly line of lot 11 to the north east corner of said lot 11 thence south 77.14 feet
to the north line of La Salle Avenue which point is the place of beginning. OuMd by

to the southerly line of said lot 10; thence southeasterly on the southerly line of said
lot 10 to the easterly line of said lot 10 thence northeasterly on the easterly line of

The property which may be injuriously or beneficially affected in
the City of South Bend, Indiana by the Widening as above described is known and described
as the ground herein proposed to be condemned and appropriated therefor, and are the
lots and lands and parcels of lots lying within the following described territory in the
City of South Bend, Indiana. to -wit: -
Beginning at -the intersection o�the southerly line df Lincoln Way
Test and the -westerly line of lot 10 Horatio Chapin's Sub-Dvision of Bank Out lot I and
2 thence south westerly on the westerly line of said lot 10 to southwest corner of said

Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the 5th. day of October
1915 and on the 12th. day.of October91915 in the South Bend Daily Tribune,
This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 2nd. day of Novenber-
1915 at 7:45 P.M. w111; hear and receive remonstrances from all per-.-ons interested in or
affected by these proceedings.

The Heating contract was discussed by the Board and they decided to
turn same over too=wthe City Attorney to be re -written.
