In regard to deferred hearing.on Condemnation Resolution No. 39 for the
Widening of Webster Street from Prairie Avenue to Indiana Avenue, and widening of
Indiana Avenue from Webster Street to Prairie Avenue, In the City of South Bend,
Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no further remonstrane
was filed, all remonstrances vmere over ruled and thereupon, being fully advised in
;the matter the Board modified 'said resolution as follows. Widening of WEbster
St. Also; Beginning at the southwesterly eorner of lot 3 ft. Noland's Addition
to South Bend: thNnee south parallel to tie east line of Jno. A. Swygart's Replat
of George W. Swygart's Ord. Addition to the south line of Dubail Avenue produced
east; thence ^st two feet; thence south parallel with the east line of Jno. A.
Swygart's Replat of Goo. W. SjWgart's 3rd. Addition to the northerly line of
Prairie Avenue »thence sal westerly along the northerly line of Prairie Avenue to
the east line of the alley on the east side -of Jno. A . Swygart's Replat of Geo. W.
" ftygart's 3rd. Addition to South Bend; thence north to a point eleven (11) Feet
west of beginning; thence east to the place of beginning. The Board takes final
Action on said resolution as above modified confirming.the same.
The Board therefore declares the above property in all things con-
demned and appropriated for public use, the Board now orders that a list or roll
be prepared of all the owners or holders of property and of valuable interests
therein soxi�gut to be taken or to be injuriously affected* which said list or roll
shall also describe. the property beneficially affected.

REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BRij D, INDIANA.
Sewer, water and gas connections on Leeper Avenue from Howard Street to Angella
Avenue.
To the Honorable Council,
Q�tlemen:— The Board of Public Works herewith presents its report
for the following sewer,gas and water connectiosn.

RESOLUTION Or THE BOARD O Y PUBLIC STORKS.
On motion duly made and seconded , the following preamble and resolu-
tions were unanimously adopted:
'WHEREAS,This Board did on the 24th. day of August,1915 deem it
expedient and of public utility to permanently improve Leeper Avenue between Howard
Street and Angella Avenue by,paving the roadway of the same, and did on said date
pass and adopt a resolution authorizing said permanent improvement, end
WHEREASmThe City Engineer has prepared and filed with this Board a
report showing the num -r and location, as well as the material to be used, and
the manner of laying the sane, o.f the service pipes, mains, conduits, laterals and
connections which are, or will be, necessary to accommodate the abutting property
owners with gas water, heat,steam or any other product for which any person,firm
or corporation has been granted a franchise Bor supplying the citizens of the City
of South Bend,Indiana, which report is as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED, That said report -of said City Engineer be and is
hereby adopted. And be it further Resolved, That it is contemplated by this Board
to improve Leeper Avenue from Howard Street to kip
ella Avenue by construction of
pavement, and that it is, and is hereby so declared necessary for the Northern
Indiana Gas & Electric Company, which has, and operates under a franchise from
said city to supply gas to the citizens of said City, to provide and insta''.1 mains,
1 aterals, service pipes and connections for gas in said part of said street,of the
description, location and number set forth in said report of said City Engineer,whfk
which mains,service pipes and connections are hereby declared necessary for the
immediate use of said Company in supplying g s to the owners of property abutt .ng
upon said part of said street.
THE above report referred to the Common Council for ratification.
