Tuesday June _ 1d.1915.
Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.Y. All members present.
Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 241°for the purpose of vacating
for a portion of Leerts Court, under Vacation Resolution No. 24:ZIn the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were
filed. The Board therefore sustain all former action taken and declare the above des-
cribed property, in all things vacated and this resolution in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved.
Resolved further that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare a rikll
showing awards of damages and assessments of benefits to all parties and properties
interested in the above matter. A
Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 357, for pavement on Lincoln
Way west from east line of Olive Street to west City limits. In the City of South
Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter Attorney L. Hanmerschmidt represent ing' property'
owners and Mr. Joseh E. Kaley and others appeared and remonstrated against said im-
provement, but no written remonstrance was filed. The Board after dueconsiderat ion
decided to defer all action on said improvement resolution until Tuesday June 29th.1,
1915 at 7:45 P.M. (The Board informed the property owners that they would make a trip
over said street and investigate said improvement.)
Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 359. for Paving *ith gravel,
sidewalk and curb on Hill Street from Corby Street to Howard Street, In the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
Upon said hearing no remonstrators appea ed and no written remonstrance
was filed. The Property owners requested the Board to widen the roadway froin'30feet
to42-1/2 feet on Hill Street from Corby Street to Howard Street, and the same was
unanimously adopted by the Board. And the Board being fully advised in the premises
decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are
equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil. Engineer, and
thereupon takes final action on said resolution as modified, and the same is hereby in
all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 24th. day of June,
1915 and on the lst. day of July21915 in a newspaper of general circulation in said
City , stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improve-
ments up to 10:00 A,M. on the 13th. day of July,1915 The Board reserves the right to
re je ct any and all bids.

Franklin Street from Sample Street to Indiana Avenue. In the City of South Bend, Ind. -
Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared but no written remonstrance
was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the bene-
fits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the esti-
mated cost of the same, as reported by the City Mivil Engineer, and thereupon takes
final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all
things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 24th. day of June
1915 and on the 1st* day of July,1915 in a newspaper of general circulation in said
City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improve-
ments up to 10:00 A.M. on the 13th. day of July91915 The Board reserves the right
to reject any and all bids.
R1 Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 390 for pipe sewer on St.
Peter and Sorin Street from Eddy Street to St. Louis Blvd.. In the City of South -Bend,
Indiana.
Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and w written remonstrance
was filed. The Board after due consideration decided to defer hearing until Tuesday
June 29th.,1915 at 7:45 P.M.

Board met in regular' session at 10:00 A.M. All members present.
Remonstrances received, read and placed on file against pipe sewer
'--,on Leeper Avenue from Howard Street to Angella Avenue.
Notice received from the. Chief of Police in regard to trimming of
v trees on LaPorte Avenue at the City Cemetery. The same was referred to the City
Oemetery Sexton.
Remonstrance received, read and pla ced on file against sewer on
Pulaski Street from 'Division Street to Ford Street. '
The City Civil Engineer filed the following estimated cost of
improvements.
Pipe sewer on Corby Street from Niles Avenue to E. line of St.
✓ Louis Boulevard at $2073.25
Pipe sewer on Leeper Aveue from Howard Street to Angella Avenue
✓ at .00459000.00
Pipe sewer on Jaquith Court from Prairie Avenue to point 70 feet east
of the east lin of Chapin Street at ........ # 629.25
Application for setting of billboard by the Kale &'Bryan dopmpany
on South Michigan -Street was approved by the Board. Also on Beyer Island on River
was approved.
Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer
on Cherry Street from Washington Avenue .to alley south of Jefferson Blvd. under Improve—
ment resolution No. 357. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published
on the 24th. day of June,1915 and on the 1st. day of July,1915 in the South Bend Daily
Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments
at its office in the City Hall on the 13th. day of July,1915 at 7:45 P.Me
Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be
accepted and approved and the final estimate hhereon allowed. Notice of this resolution
shall be published on the 24th. day of June,1915 and on the 1st. day of June,1915 in
the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a'hearing on the accept-
ance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the.13th. day of July,1915 at 7:45 P.M.
