Bids were received, opened and read for pipe sewer -on Dale Avenue from Dubail Avenue to Dayton Street. The same were referred to the City Engineer for tabulation to be reported on at 7:45 P.M. this.15th.2 day of June,1915• Petition filed with the Board for grade, curb and sidewalk on East Ewign. ✓ Avenue, the same was referred to the City Engineer for -investigation. .Communication received from Marvin Campbell in regard to William Street alley known as Caldwell Court to be widened to 16 feet or at least 14 ft. thru. Same referred to the City Engineer for investigation. 09mmunleation- received from the Fidelity & Causalty Co. in regard to ✓ report on condition of boilers in the City Hall, read and placed on file. Contractors bond for the amount of One Thousand ($19000,00) Dollars / sighed by-O.-L. Cothrell-Realty Co. was approved by the -Board. Excavation bond for the sum of One Thousand ($19000.00)Dollars signed by the Central Union Telephone Co. for excavation in the streets for the year of 1915 was approved by the Board. The City Engineer filed the esti mated costs of improvementspon June 12th.,1915. Hearing had on assessment roll end final estimate for pipe sewer on Eddy , Parry, Francis and Divisions Streets fro m "Mi6hawaLa. Avenue to Division Street Under Improvement Resolution No.n 356. In the City of South,Bend, Indiana. In the above matter remonstrators appeared but no written remonstrances were filed. The Board after due consideration find that the property' assessed in said roll filed June lst.1915. is benefitted in the amount of assessments.as shown on said rolls and the Board further find that the assessments roll filed June lst,1915 and the final estimate allowed.june lst.,1915 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer on k"' Milton Avenue from High Street to Miami Street under Improvment Resolution N®-, 347. In the . City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no remonstrators eppeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filed May 25th. 1915 is benefitted in the amount of asessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessments roll filed May 25th.,1915 and the final estimate allowed Mayf 25th. 1915 p4ou-jd be;:and the; same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Deferred hearing had on Vacation Resolution No. 23. for the vacation of 4ft. off of lot 35 in Original Plat of Lowell, in the City of South Bend, Ind.. In the above matter Attorney, McKibben representing Mrs. S.W. Robertson and Mrs. S. W. Robertson appeared in favor of the vacation and Mr. Oeo. X. Witwer, respesent- ing J. M. Studebaker appeared against said improvement, but he written aemonstrance was filed. The Board deferred all action'on said vacation resolution until June 29th.91915 at 7:45 P.M. City Engineer instructed to make report on condition of pavement on High :Street under contract of T. C. Barnes and report same to the Board on Tuesday June 22nd.1915 :at 10:00 A.M. The following report was filed by the City Civil Engineer and approved by the Board. To the Hon. Board of Public Works, of the City of south Bend, Indiana. Gent lemen: - Regarding the attached petition for sidewalk and curb on Ewing Avenue report that I have investigated said matter and recommend that the petition be placed on file until such time t�Lat the street has been widened an additional 10 feet on the south side to make it a 60 foot street. Contract for pipe sewer on Dale Avenue from Dubail Ave. to Dayton St. was awarded to Henry De Vos for the amount of $291.35 ° Engineer Piled assessment roll of awards of damages and assessments of benefits under Vacation Resolution No. 24 for the Vacation of the first alley North of Colfax Avenue from Emerick Street to the east race.
