Board met in special session at 5:00 P.M. All members present,
Resolved by the Board of Public Works that they agree tonpurch.ase
fror-, AmtiTL. Turner, Wid'ow, Mabel Treanor Woo'ds,Harry A. Woods her husband of St. Joseph
County,State of Indiana for the sum of $p13,500.00 the Following described real estate
in the City of South Bend,St. Joseph County State of Indiana, and bounded by a line
running as follows:- to -wit:
Beginning at the center of Division Street and Kentucky Streets
in said City, thence west six hundred sixty-four (664) feet to the center of Lake Street
thence south thirteen hundred twenty (1320) feet to the center of Ford Street expended
thence east six hundred sixty four(664) feet; thence north thirteen hundred twenty (1320)
feet to the place of beginning, containing twenty (20) acres more or less.
By unanimous consent the Board sued and approved of the purchasing
o f the above described real estate, and the contract for same was referred to the Common
Council for rat i fi cat ion.
Mr. J.,- Studebaker and Mr. Geo. M. Witwer appeared before the
Board and the propo sition of widening Mishawaka Avenue on the east side was discussed,
but no action taken.
