RESOLUTION NO. 1084
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR
REAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION
WHEREAS, I.C. 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2(j) provides that an
application for property tax deduction may not be approved when the
property is located in an allocation area as defined in I.C.
36- 7- 14 -39, unless the Redevelopment Commission which designated
that allocation area adopts a resolution approving that
application; and
WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a
petition for ten years of real property tax abatement consideration
from West Washington Homes Partnership L.P., for real property
located in the 1200 block of West Washington Street in the West
Washington- Chapin Development Area, the legal description of which
is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, this Commission declared the West
Washington- Chapin Development Area by Resolution No. 818, adopted
October 23, 1987, and in the same resolution declared the West
Washington- Chapin Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area
No. 7 ) and
WHEREAS, the property located in the 1200 block of West
Washington Street is located within the West Washington- Chapin
Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 7);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend
Redevelopment Commission as follows:
1) The Commission finds that the application from West
Washington Homes Partnership L.P. for ten years of real property
tax abatement consideration for property located in the 1200 block
of West Washington Street in the West Washington- Chapin Allocation
Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 7) is hereby approved.
2) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
South Bend Common Council to indicate the Commission's approval of
the petition for real property tax abatement for West Washington
Homes Partnership L.P.
Approved this 24th day of July 1992, at the regularly
scheduled meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission.

Parcel I: a parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter of Section
11, Township 37 North, Range 2 East, Portage Township in the City
of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, being lots 1 through 8
inclusive and a portion of Spruce Street of John K. Fowler's Sub-
division of Bank outlots No. 85 and 86 as recorded in Plat Book
2, Page 13 in the office of the St. Joseph County Recorder;

(also being the intersection of the north line of Washington
Street and the east line of Walnut Street); thence North, along
the east line of Walnut Street, 166.20 feet to the northwest
corner of said Lot A; thence East, along the south line of a 14
foot alley, 313.07 feet to the east line of Spruce Street; thence
North, along the east line of Spruce Street, 32.9 feet to the
south line of a 14 foot alley; thence East, along the south line
