AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
TRANSFERRING MONIES FROM VARIOUS ACCOUNTS
TO VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN DEPARTMENTS WITHIN
THE VARIOUS FUNDS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
FOR THE YEAR 2005
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
Unforeseen conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing budgets which
necessitates the transfer of monies to certain accounts of various departments from adequate
surpluses which are available and not presently needed within other accounts within the same
department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, as follows:

Re: An Ordinance transferring monies from various accounts to various accounts within
departments within the various funds.
Dear Ms. Pfeifer:
Attached is a substitute ordinance relative to the 2005 transfer of funds for the City of South
Bend. Four funds have been updated to accurately reflect the necessary transfers to cover
expenditures for the year in these funds. The four funds that have been updated are the General Fund
(Mayor), Motor Vehicle Highway, Liability Insurance and COIT. All updates have been balanced
within fund.
