A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR
REAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION
WHEREAS, I.C. 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2(j) provides that an application for
property tax deduction may not be approved when the property is
located in an allocation area as defined in I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39, unless
the Redevelopment Commission, which designated that allocation
area, adopts a resolution approving that application; and
WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a petition
for three years of real property tax abatement consideration from
Ziker Cleaners for real property located at 251 E. Sample Street in
the South Bend Central Development Area, the legal description of
which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated
herein; and
WHEREAS, this Commission declared the South Bend Central
Development Area by Resolution No. 737 adopted May 10, 1985, and in
the same resolution declared the South Bend Central Allocation Area
(South Bend Allocation Area No. 1A); and
WHEREAS, the property located at 251 E. Sample Street is
located within the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend
Allocation Area No. 1A);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment
Commission as follows:
1) The Commission finds that the application of Ziker Cleaners
for three years of real property tax abatement consideration for
property located at 251 E. Sample Street in the South Bend Central
Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 1A) is hereby
approved.
2) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the South
Bend Common Council to indicate the Commission's approval of the
Ziker Cleaners' petition for real and personal property tax
abatement.
Approved this 18th day of June, 1993, at the regularly
scheduled meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission.

PARCEL I: The South one -half (1/2) of Lot Numbered Thirty -seven (37) as
Cr shown on the recorded Plat of Denniston and Fellows' Addition to the Town, now
City of South Bend, EXCEPTING THEREFROM, Forty (40) feet North and
South and One Hundred Thirty (130) feet East and West taken off of the South
end thereof.
PARCEL II: A strip of land Thirty -three (33) feet East and West by One
Hundred Twenty -five (125) feet North and South taken off of and from the entire
North end of a parcel of land described as the West one -half (1/2) of the West
One -half (1/2) of the South One -half (1/2) of Lot Numbered Thirty -eight (38) as
shown on the recorded Plat of Denniston & Fellow's Addition to the Town, now
City of South Bend.
