HomeMy WebLinkAboutNo. 1489 recognizing Jenny Pitts Manier for distinguished service to the SBRC and the COSBRESOLUTION NO. 1489 RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION RECOGNIZING JENNY PITTS MANIER FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND WHEREAS, Jenny Pitts Manier has been the attorney for the South Bend Redevelopment Commission since September 1990; and WHEREAS, during her tenure Jenny has served the Commission with patience, perseverance, dedication, hard work, long hours, and attention to detail and this has enabled the Commission to move forward on its projects; and WHEREAS, Jenny has written countless contracts, development agreements, leases, and deeds and has reviewed numerous purchase offers, easements, bond issues, quiet titles, and other documents; and WHEREAS, Jenny has withstood the demands that have been put on her from countless condemnations and deadlines; and WHEREAS, without her excellent assistance the Commission would not have been able to proceed with projects such as the Blackthorn Corporate Park, Blackthorn Golf Course, Central High School Apartments, Stephenson Mill Apartments, St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice Center, the new location for Ivy Tech, the College Football Hall of Fame, the new apartments at Robertson's, Southeast Heritage Homes, West Washington Homes and other projects too numerous to mention; and WHEREAS, Jenny has never forgotten the public that she serves and has always been committed to making South Bend an excellent place to live; and WHEREAS, Jenny has now decided to serve the State of Indiana in the same way she has quietly served the South Bend Redevelopment Commission and the City of South Bend, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, governing body of the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment, that Jenny Pitts Manier be recognized for her distinguished service to the South Bend Redevelopment Commission and the City of South Bend. .. Adopted at the Regular Meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held on January 17, 1997 at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601.
