A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment
( "Redevelopment ") is the owner of the following described real property situated in St. Joseph
County, Indiana:
See Exhibit A: attached
(hereinafter referred to as the "Real Property "), and;
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 7 -14 -3, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission
( "Commission ") is governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment and,
pursuant to I.C. 36 -7 -14 -12.2 the Commission may dispose of the Real Property; and
WHEREAS, the Commission is desirous of transferring the property to the City of South
Bend, Indiana, for the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, Redevelopment, acting through the Commissionand
the City, acting by and through the Board of Public Works, may exchange or transfer property with
one another upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities as evidenced by the
adoption of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works, at its meeting of November 13, 2000, will consider
its Resolution No.109 -2000, accepting the transfer of the Real Property from the City of South Bend,
Department of Redevelopment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the transfer of the Real Property for the sum of Ten and 00/100 Dollars ($10.00),
by the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment to the City of South Bend,
Indiana shall be, and hereby is, approved.
2. That the President and Secretary ofthe SouthBend RedevelopmentCommission shall
be, and hereby are, authorized, respectively, to execute and attest to the execution of a quitclaim deed
conveying all of the right, title and interest in the Real Property to the City of South Bend, Indiana.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption by the South
Bend Redevelopment Commission.
ADOPTED at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held at 1300
County -City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601 on October 20,
2000.

EXHIBIT A
Lot Numbered Sixteen (16) as shown on the recorded Plat of Haney's Addition to the City of South
Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. Key No. 18- 7026 -1035
Lot Numbered Seventeen (17) and a strip of land five (5) feet in width, East and West, taken off of
and from the entire length of the West side of Lot Numbered Eighteen (18) as shown on the recorded
Plat of Haney's Addition to the City of South Bend. Key No. 18- 7026 -1034
Lots Numbered One Hundred Eighty -four (184) and One Hundred Eighty -five (185) as shown on
the recorded Plat of Wenger and Krieghbaum's Replat of a part of Martin L. Wenger's Sixth
Addition to the City of South Bend, excepting from both of said lots a parcel of land Seventy -three
(73) feet in width North and South taken off of and from the entire width of the North end thereof,
and excepting from said Lot No. 185 a parcel of land Thirty -three (33) feet in width East and West,
taken off of and from the entire length of the East side of the remainder thereof.

The South Thirty -six and One half (36 '/2) feet of the North Seventy -three (73) feet of Lots
Numbered One Hundred Eighty -four (184) and One Hundred Eighty -five (18 5) as shown on the
recorded Plat of Wenger and Krieghbaum's Replat of a part of M.L. Wenger's Sixth Addition to the
City of South Bend. Key No. 18- 7016 -0634. Commonly know as 1318 Marietta Street.
A lot or parcel of land Thirty -six and One -half (36'/2) feet in width, North and South, taken off of
and from the entire width of the North ends of Lots Numbered One Hundred Eighty -four (184) and
One Hundred Eighty -five (185) as shown on the recorded Plat of Wenger and Krieghbaum's Replat
of a part of M.L. Wenger's Sixth Addition to the City of South Bend, in St. Joseph County, Indiana,
recorded April 1, 1903 in the Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana, in Plat Book 8,
page 103. Key No. 18- 7016 -0633.
Lot Numbered Twenty -nine (29) as shown on the recorded Plat of Haney's Addition to the City of
South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, EXCEPTING 45 feet in length, North and South, taken off
of the entire width of the South end thereof. Key No. 18- 7026 -1040. Commonly known as 138
Broadway.
A part of Lot Numbered Twenty -eight (28) as shown on the recorded Plat of Haney's Addition to
the City of South Bend which part is bounded by a line running as follows, viz: Beginning at the
Southeast corner of said Lot Numbered Twenty -eight (28); thence running Northerly on the East line
of said Lot, 45 feet; thence West 15 feet; thence South on a line parallel with the said East line 45
feet to the South line of said lot; thence East along the South line of said Lot, 15 feet to the place of
beginning.
Also, a lot or parcel of land 45 feet in width, North and South, taken off of and from the entire South
end of Lot Numbered Twenty -nine (29) as shown on the recorded Plat of Haney's Addition to the
City of South Bend. Key No. 18- 7026 -1041. Commonly known as 1409 St. Joseph Street.
A part of the west half of the northeast quarter of section 12, township 37 north, range two east, also
being lot 144, and part of lots 143 and 145, all in Wenger & Krieghbaum's replat as recorded in plat
book 8, page 103 in the office of the St. Joseph County Recorder, Indiana, in the City of South Bend,
Portage Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana: more particularly described as follows:
