Park Board members present were as follows: Mr. Robert Henry, President Mr. Robert Goodrich, Vice President Dr. Thomas Kelly Mr. Garrett Mullins Park Board members absent were as follows: None Staff members present: Phil St. Clair, Superinte O'Connor, Recreation Director; Randy Now i Dir Zoo Director; Mark Bradley, Director of ar g& Maintenance Superintendent; Betsy H im A Board Attorney I. No Interested esent. ncessions will be contracted out to Professional Sports Catering from Lansing, Michigan. They own the Lansing Lugnuts and know how to operate concessions at a ballpark. Group sales are going well. John Baxter is back as general manager. IV. The next order of business was unfinished business. - -1 -- There was no unfinished business. Superintendent St. Clair introduced Ms. Ann Puzello, the Common Council's PARC Chairwoman. V. The next order of business was new business. 1. Arborist License Renewals - -2 -- Mr. Nowacki received sealed bids from Helena Chemical Company, Turf Specialties, Advanced Turf Solutions, and Lesco, Inc. Each bid package was opened and inspected by Mr. Bodnar and found to be in compliance. The first and last items from each vendor were read aloud. He said that he was disillusioned by the editorial and article. The reporter did not contact anyone from the Park Department concerning the courts. We have put considerable time and expense into maintaining and repairing courts. We have included $400,00 in the COIT capital budget this year and hope to receive a $50,000 grant from the U. S. Tennis Association, also, to resurface the courts. We hope to do the work in the fall and not interfere with play this summer. Comments by the Golf Operations Director Mr. Nowacki reported that damage at the golf courses due to sledding was down this year.
