A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY
TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment
(Redevelopment) is the owner of the following described real property situated in St. Joseph
County, Indiana:
Lot Numbered Eight (8) as shown on the recorded Plat of L. F. Baker's Subdivision of
Bank Out Lot #7 of the Second Plat of Out Lots of the Town, now City of South Bend, as
platted by the State Bank of Indiana. Key No. 18- 3071 -2766,
and
Lot Numbered Seven (7) as shown on the recorded Plat of L. F. Baker's Subdivision of
Bank Out Lot #7 of the Second Plat of Out Lots of the Town, now City of South Bend, as
Ask platted by the State Bank of Indiana. Key No. 18- 3071 -2767,
(hereinafter referred to as the Real Property), and;
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 7 -14 -3, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission
(Commission) is the governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment
and, pursuant to I.C. 36 -7 -14 -12.2 may dispose of the Real Property; and
WHEREAS, the Commission, is desirous of transferring the property to the City of South
Bend, Indiana, for the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, Redevelopment, acting through the Commission
and the City, acting by and through the Board of Public Works (Board), may exchange or transfer
property with one another upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities as
evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works, at its meeting of January 11, 1999, will consider
its Resolution No. U' a- ,q�a�cepting the transfer of the Real Property from the City of South
Bend, Department of Redevelopment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the transfer of the Real Property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, and
generally described as follows:

Lot Numbered Eight (8) as shown on the recorded Plat of L. F. Baker's Subdivision of
Bank Out Lot #7 of the Second Plat of Out Lots of the Town, now City of South Bend, as
platted by the State Bank of Indiana. Key No. 18- 3071 -2766,
and
Lot Numbered Seven (7) as shown on the recorded Plat of L. F. Baker's Subdivision of
Bank Out Lot #7 of the Second Plat of Out Lots of the Town, now City of South Bend, as
platted by the State Bank of Indiana. Key No. 18- 3071 -2767,
for the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00), by the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of
Redevelopment to the City of South Bend, Indiana, for subsequent transfer to South Bend
Heritage Foundation, Inc., shall be, and hereby is, approved.
2. That the President and Secretary of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission
shall be, and hereby are, authorized, respectively, to execute and attest to the execution of a
quitclaim deed conveying all of the right, title and interest in the Real Property to the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption by the South
Bend Redevelopment Commission.
ADOPTED at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held at 1308
County-City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601 on January 8,
1999.
