A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY
FROM THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Authority (the "Authority ") is the owner of a
parcel of real property (Real Property) situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particularly
described at Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36-7- 14.5 -12, the Authority may dispose of real property; and
WHEREAS, the Authority desires to transfer the Real Property to the City of South Bend,
for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment in order that it be sold and developed;
and
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment, acting by and through
its governing body, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission desires to acquire the Real Property
from the Authority; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, the Authority may exchange or transfer property
with another governmental entity upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities as
evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and
WHEREAS, the Authority, at its meeting o , 2000, will consider its
Resolution No. 13 , approving the transfer o the Real Property to the City of South Bend,
for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the transfer of the Real Property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, and described
on the attached Exhibit A, by the South Bend Redevelopment Authority to the City of South Bend,
for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment, shall be, and hereby is, accepted.
2. That the Director of Redevelopment for the City of South Bend shall cause the
recording of the quitclaim deed conveying all of the right, title and interest of the South Bend
Redevelopment Authority in and to the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and
benefit of its Department of Redevelopment.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption by the South Bend
Redevelopment Commission.
