A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR
REAL PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION
WHEREAS, I.C. 6- 1.1- 12.1 -2(1) provides that an application for property tax deduction
may not be approved when the property is located in an allocation area as defined in I.C.
36- 7- 14 -39, unless the Redevelopment Commission which designated that allocation area adopts
a resolution approving that application; and
WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council has received a petition for three (3) years
of real property tax abatement consideration from Bravokilo, Inc. for real property located at
121 W. LaSalle Avenue in the South Bend Central Development Area, the legal description of
which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, this Commission declared the South Bend Central Development Area by
Resolution No. 737, adopted May 10, 1985, and in the same resolution declared the South Bend
Central Development Area, Allocation Area No. IA; and
WHEREAS, the property located at 121 W. LaSalle Avenue is located within the South
Bend Central Development Area, Allocation Area No. 1 A;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment
ILCommission as follows:
1) The Commission finds that the application from Bravokilo, Inc. for three (3) years of
real property tax abatement consideration for property located at 121 W. LaSalle Avenue in the
South Bend Central Development Area, Allocation Area No. 1 A, should be and is hereby
approved.
2) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the South Bend Common Council to
indicate the Commission's approval of the petition for real property tax abatement for Bravokilo,
Inc.
Approved this 2nd day of May 2003 at the regularly scheduled meeting of the South Bend
Redevelopment Commission.

Lots numbered 74 and 75 and 173, as shown on the recorded Original Plat of the
Town, now City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, and further described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of said Lot 74; thence on an
assumed bearing of North 00 degrees 15 minutes 00 seconds West
along the East line of Main Street 198.17 feet to the Northwest corner
of said Lot 173; thence North 89 degrees 58 minutes 30 seconds East
along the North line of said Lot 173 a distance of 166.21 feet to the
Northeast corner of said Lot 173; thence South 00 degrees 13 minutes
45 seconds East along the West line of a 14 foot alley, 198.24 feet to
the Southeast corner of said Lot 74; thence North 90 degrees 00
minutes 00 seconds West along the South line of said Lot 74 a distance
of 166.14 feet to the point of BEGINNING.
Prior deed references: Deed Book 776, Page 244, in the public records
+ of St. Joseph County, Indiana, dated September 24, 1973.
