A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY
TO ST. JOSEPH COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment ( "City ") is
the owner of the real property and improvements described at Exhibit A, hereto, situated in St.
Joseph County, Indiana ( "Property "); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 7 -14 -3, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission
( "Commission ") is the governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment
and, pursuant to I.C. 36 -7 -14 -12.2 and I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8 may dispose of the Property; and
WHEREAS, the Commission, is desirous of transferring the Property to St. Joseph
County ( "County ") for the sum of One and 00 /100 Dollars ($1.00); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, Redevelopment, acting through the Commission
and the County, acting by and through the Board of County Commissioners, may exchange or
transfer property with one another upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities
as evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, at its meeting of " 2001 will
consider its Resolution No. R a C - LL, accepting the transfer of the Property from the City of
South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS THAT:
1. The transfer of the Property for the sum of One and 00 /100 Dollars ($1.00), by the
City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment to St. Joseph County, shall be, and
hereby is, approved.
2. The President and Secretary of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission shall
be, and hereby are, authorized, respectively, to execute and attest to the execution of a quit -claim
deed conveying all of the right, title and interest in the Property to St. Joseph County, Indiana.
3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption by the South
Bend Redevelopment Commission.
ADOPTED at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held at 1300
County -City Building, 227 W. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601 on
Maid 52001.

Part of the Southeast Quarter (1/4) of Section 11, Township 37 North, Range 2 East of the 2nd P.M., more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Tract No. 3 of the Studebaker Corporation Replat as recorded in
Plat Book 11, Page 184 in the Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana; thence South 89
degrees 51 minutes 08 seconds East along the South line of said Tract No. 3, said line being also the North
line of Sample Street, a distance of 1082.34 feet (South 89 degrees 51 minutes 46 seconds East 1080.37
feet, DR 656, Page 13 1) ; thence North 00 degrees 16 minutes 42 seconds East (North 00 degrees 16
minutes 04 seconds East, DR 656, Page 13 1) a distance of 35.06 feet; thence North 05 degrees 57 minutes

Westerly most line prolonged a distance of 127.07 feet to the North line of said parcel of land conveyed to
Indiana & Michigan Electric Company, an Indiana Corporation; thence South 89 degrees 45 minutes 42
