AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA,APPROPRIATING $215,000 FROM THE MORRIS PERFORMING ARTS
CENTER IMPROVEMENT FUND (FUND 416) FOR THE RENOVATION AND
RESTORATION OF WINDOWS,DOORS, RESTROOMS, EXTERIOR NORTH WALL,
AND ARCHITECT & ENGINEERING FEES.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
The Morris Performing Arts Center Improvement Fund (Fund 416) was established for
the purpose of renovating, remodeling, or improving the facilities at the Morris Performing Arts
Center. The Morris desires to make certain capital improvements to maintain the facilities in
good working order and for the benefit of patrons and clients. The praposed capital expenditure
of $215,000 is for the renovation and restoration of windows; doors; restrooms; the exterior
north wall; architect & engineering fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA as follows:
Sectian I. The following sum of money is hereby appropriated and ordered set apart from
and within the Morris Performing Arts Center Improvement Fund.

Re: Morris Perforniing Arts Center Capital Improvement Appropriations Ordinance
Dear Mr. Dieter,
I attach for filing with the South Bend Common Council an Ordinance requesring an
Appropriation of$215,000 within the Morris Perfornung Arts Center Improvement Fund (Fund
416). Revenues from this fund are generated by a ticket surcharge and the fund is used
exclusively for capital improvements such as renovarion, remodeling, and specifically here, to
support a portion�of the total expense for the renovation and restoration of the Morris Perfornung
Arts Center windows, doors,restrooms, exterior north wall, and azchitect&engineering fees. The
balance of funding required will be forthcoming from an Appropriafion request for TIF funds.
The purpose for which the Morris Perfornung Arts Center desires Appropriarions is$215,000 for:
• Windows, Doors and Restrooms Renovarion/Restoration
• Exterior North Wall Repair
• Architect and Engineering Fees
The Morris Performing Arts Center requests the Council's approval of this Ordinance that will
benefit the City and its citizens.
