MEETING -- JULY 20, 1942
A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday,
July 20� 1942 at 10:30 A. PJI. All members �vere present. rr2inutes of the
last meeting were read and approved. Claims of the following suppliers,
in the amount of ��1435.95 were approved and ordered paid.

' SPECIAL P�IEETING -- July 21, 1942
A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety tivas held on July
21, 1942 at 2:00 P. I�q. to consider the case of Ra1p� Bickel, fireman �
who was suspended cn July 5, 1942 by Chief DeVleeschower. '
ll�r. Bickel appeared before the members of the Board accompanied by
his attorney George Farage as counsel. After discussion of the charges
upon which his suspension T�vas based and upon consideration of the f acts,
the Board suspended T��r. Bickel for a period of thirty da�s, effective
commencing the date of suspension by the Chief of the Fire Department.
There being no further business to :icome before the Board, the meet-
ing adjourned at 2 :45 P.T+'�.
