A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety ��as held on Tuesday,

�lilliams beino absent. TrIinutes of the last rleeting �.ere read and appro�-
ed. Sal.ary claims in the ar��ount of �20,840.17 tivere approved and ordered
paid. Claims of the fo-llovring suppliers, in the amount of �128.12 were
approved and ordered paid.

An application for appointment to the Police Department �vas receiv-
ed fs�om Vernon Roy Babcock, 525 N. Al1en 5t. This application �vas or�er-
ed filed.
On motion duly made, seconded a.nd unanimously carried, the follo:^Jing
resolution �vas adopted, that pfficer LaRue �7irt be advanced to sergeantts
pay of �180.00 per month, effective October 15, 1941, ti�ithout the rank
of Sergeant.
Chief Ingram presented the report of the Police Department, ior the
month oi Septem�:er, 1941. � .
FIF.E DE��'�R��ENT: An application for appoint�ent to the Fire Department
v,as received from Anthony A. Nafrady, 1415 S. :�.ain St. This applica-
tion v�as approved and ordered filed:
ELECTRIC DE�ART!',ZEi1T: The Board approved the plans submitted by the
Indiana Bel1. Telephone Co., for conduit �vork in the alley at the rear
of the City Hall.
