purchasirig radio receivers at �47.50 each. The Board authorized the
purchase of eight receivers.

A letter from the QTBrien Varnish Company �ras brou�ht to the
attenticn of the Board relative to a street light at the junction
of Colfax Avenue and Johnson Street. This matter ivas referred to
Mr. VJilliam Qualls for his disposition.

the figures.

The Board instructed the Clerk to destroy all applications for '
appointment to the police department, vrhere the applican� does not
have sufficient education to meet the requirements, prior to January 1,1941.
