� the Police Chief be authorized to purchase ten ( 10) H.F.-15 I.iobile
Transmitters, complete �vith tubes, cable, controls, microphones and '
all accessories, less installation at �p1379.80 from Rex Bassett, Inc.,
Niles, T�Fich. , sarne to b e delivered vrithin sixty days.
The Board authorized the Chief of Police to purcliase not more than
ten automobiles and trade in not more than five automobiles, as per
figures quoted by Schermt�n-Schaus-Freernan Co. Such purchases to be
made as needed.
The Board autnorized the Chief of Police to send tzvo officers to
NorthiFTestern University to attend the Traffic Officers Executive
Training School at a cost not to exceed �150.00. '

George J. F;Ioorr:lan, 123� N. T:ain St. , South Bend, Ind. He ' is to
be employed by the Ar,lerican District Telegraph Co. T��is application
tivas approved and ordered filed. The bond for �1000.00 tivhich accor.lpanied �
this application i�as turned over to the City Attorney for examination
and opinion. � �
� Notice �vas received from the Secretary of the Police ' Pension Boa�d
that James K. Trevey and Joseph Charles Dutrieux tivere accepted as members
of the Police Pension Furid. '
The Clerk of the Cafeteria Court presen�ed his report ior �he

ELECTRIC DEP�'�TT��ENT: P+4r. �'Villia�'n Qualls, Superintendent, presented his �
annual repert for the year 1940. !
� FIRE DEPARTI�IENT: It �rras moved, seconded and unanimously carried that
the salary of V�filliam F. T.Zeyers be increased to that of a Captain, ; .
as of January lst, 1941. This is in accordance �vith the appropriation ' '
of the Fire Department for t he year 1941. �
It ���as moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the application
for the resignation of Geor�e Kasa be accepted.
The Chief of the Fire Department tivas authorized to accept proposals
on various sizes and types of fire hose.
The follotiving applications for appointment to the Fire Depa_rtment

purchasirig radio receivers at �47.50 each. The Board authorized the
purchase of eight receivers.

the bond of Dewey r�d. Darling, Special Police Officer, tivas presented.
