discussed. Chief Ingr2ss reporzed th�t �he Police Department is running tests
on t�ro-l•ray equipment and tiTitnin a fe�rr days v�ill be ready to make recommenda- '
tions on this equipment.

� Chief Ingrani has been authorized to purchase nine ( 9 ) T:"otorola radio ?
receivers for police cars, at the, price of �;410.00.
✓ A 3�ecial Police Bond for Charles VanDusen v,ras approved. by the Board.

to his aepartmen� ti�ere discuesed. Chief DeVleescho�^rer ir.formed the Board
�hat an estimate of the cost of repair parts for repairing service trucl� �2 '
as a result of the accident, in tivnich it �:as envolved on the 14th of December,
h^s �aeen :�:��de, and the�r estirnate it will cost .r51000.00 to purchase parts,
and it is questionable vlhether or not the truck ��rill be in satisfaci�ory
condii;ion for use in the event it is repairecl. Chief DeVleeschotiver w�.s in-
structed to get prices for ne��r eoluipment, also the price oi a netv chassis
on zvhich to mount Trucl� �`2 and report to the Board. '
f An apnlicat.ion for ap�ointment to the Fire Department iTas received from '
Clem I,7. I:ia.rosz, 635 N. Brool�field St. , and ordered filed.

� The Board has been advised by the Common Council that the merchants tivho I
are usin� the sidetiralks for the display of fruit, met before the� on Tuesday, ', l;
Dece:;iber 12th, askin� far lenienc;� in the enforce�;:ent of the ordinance .
prohibi�ing such practice, and t he Council recor�ended tha� the Board permit '
reasonable use of side�ralks for display of inerchandise until January lst, '
1940, a� tis�nich time the ordinance is to be rigorousl� enforced. T?ie Board -
concurred in the recorunendation of the Comrion Council and instructs the '
Clerk to in£orm the Police Department of this.
