reported that he has sufficient money in his budget to pay for one fire
a1ar� bo�. and he vras authorized to install a box in that Addition and to
ccnfer tir�.th the Fire Chief relative to the best ldcation for the box.

FIRE DEPI�RT�.?ET1T: Chief DeVleeschoiver yras �:resent and r�atters pe�taininb
to his d partment ivere dzscussed. The Chief referred a letter concernin�
Fireraan ranl� Logan �vhich he received from George i�. Lar�lbert, Principal of
Perley S hool, to the Board. The letter corTmended Firer.lan Lo�an for his
�rcrk and tallis to the cnildren an fire p'rEVention and recommended that he
be perm ently assigned �o such duties. The Board acl.��ov�rled;ed the letter
statin� hat it is in accord ��,rith such a plan but the tax situation at the
present irie does not allotiv it.

POLICE D PART:s?ET1T : Captain Everett was present in Chief Ingram's absence
and matt rs pertaining t o the departr�ent v�rere discussed r�ith Captain Everett,
Cartain erett filed the monthly report of the de�artment.
v Res .gnaticns of Police Officers Sar.muel Koczorotvski, Charles VanDusen
and Valer.tine Delinski to beccrle effective Decer:lber 1, 1939, were received.
The �oar�. gran�ed a 15 day vaca�ion z7ith pay to each of these off:icers to
conmience on N�vember 16, 193�. � .
� Sgt. Butz v�as called before the Bcard for the purpose of discussing
crays and means of enforcing the 2:00 A.r�. to 5:00 A.l,t. par�:ing x�rohibition
ordinancE . After discussion, he tivas instructed to order «arning si�ns to
be place�. on cars, c,rarning tile oyvners agains� violutien of the ordinance �
and to proceed ivith enforce�ent cf the ordinance after proper tivarnin� was ',
