Mr . Budd, President , called meeting to order. All members
were presen� .

POLICE DEPARTP�'�NT
Chief Kuespert reported on the activities of his dep�.rt�rient
for the past �eek and stated that the eleven motorc,ycles ,
painted v�rhite , vrere read� for �he Board's inspection next
T�Zonda`*. Chief Kuespert further stated that the local nev�s-
papers are co-operat ing vaith his department by giving v�eekly
publicity on matters pertainin� to safety. �
; Requisitions approved and bills ordered and paid.
Special police commissions vrere granted to Roland Lasch vrho
is employed by the Park Board at Erskine Park Golf Course ,
and to Frank J. r,IcClure who is e�ployed by South Bend
Baseball Club. .

�� Chief Knoblock reported that he suspended Narry Thomas for
cause. The Board deferred action until next regular meeting.

As . Burns reported that the scales of several meat r�arkets , in
do��rn town district , v�ere not true and that investi�ation ��ill
