SOUTH BEND LEAF VAC PROGRAM UPDATE — Week 4
The City of South Bend announced that "due to great cooperation from the public and the
hard work of leaf pickup crews,the 2006 Operation ReLeaf program is on schedule and has
collected nearly 50,000 cubic yards to date." It is estimated that there are approximately 20,000
cubic yards yet to be collected before winter weather sets in. Residents are urged to take
advantage of loose leaf pickup in their areas, or bag their leaves for pickup at curbside on their
regular trash days.
Due to the observance of Thanksgiving, there will be no loose leaf pickup on Thursday &
Friday,November 23 & 24, 2006. The loose leaf pickup schedule for the week of November
20-24 is as follows:
Monday,Nov. 20 ...............North West Quadrant.............Washington St. to Elwood Ave.
Tuesday,Nov. 21...............North West Quadrant.............Elwood Ave. to Lathrop St.
Wednesday,Nov. 22..........North West Quadrant.............Lathrop St. to City Limits
Thursday,Nov. 23.............THANKSGIVING HOLIDAYS-NO PICKUP
Friday,Nov. 24..................THANKSGIVING HOLIDAYS-NO PICKUP
