Drive-Thru Flu Shots Available at South Bend Fire
Department
The City of South Bend announced today that flu shots will be available at the
South Bend Fire Department, 1222 S. Michigan Street, on Wednesday,November 29,
2006, from 3-5:00 PM. A special drive-thru clinic has been setup to allow residents to
receive their shot without leaving their car.
The St. Joseph County Health Department has coordinated flu shot clinics around
the city/county, as an ongoing effort to vaccinate people, helping to prevent the virus.
Complications from the flu influenza virus can be very serious especially for people who
are at higher risk because of certain health conditions.
Mayor Stephen J. Luecke encourages residents to take advantage of this
opportunity to reduce chances of getting the flu by taking a few minutes to drive through
the Fire Department's temporary clinic. Building a Healthy City is important!
