Luecke, Mayor RELEASE FROM: FOR RELEASE: Office of the Mayor Friday, May 13, 2005 MAIN /COLFAX PARKING GARAGE CLOSING The Main & Colfax Parking Garage will be closing for construction repairs beginning at 3:30AM Sunday morning, May 15, until 6:00 AM Monday, May 23, 2005. No traffic will be permitted to enter the garage during this time. The repairs will include the final coating/sealing of the driving and parking surfaces of the garage. They are part of the City of South Bend's investment and renovation of the Main & Colfax Garage which extends the life span of the facility for another 20 years. Monthly parking customers have been relocated to various parking facilities around the Downtown area. There are 600 on-street parking spaces available for short-term daily customers. The City appreciates the public's patience and cooperation as we continue to build a 21st Century City.
