AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, DELETING CERTAIN
CURRENT SECTIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO PREPARE
FOR RECODIFICATION OF THE ENTIRE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The purpose of this ordinance is to delete those sections of
the South Bend Municipal Code which have become obsolete or which
have been superseded by subsequent ordinances .
The Common Council of the City of South Bend intends to
facilitate the eventual recodification of the South Bend Municipal
Code by deleting from the Code those sections which will not be
incorporated into the recodified version of the Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . Sections 3-11 through and including 3-20 of the
South Bend Municipal Code shall be, and hereby are deleted in their
entirety and reserved for future use.
SECTION II . Section 4-42 of the South Bend Municipal Code
shall be, and hereby is, deleted in its entirety and reserved for
future use .
SECTION III . Sections 6-40 through and including 6-44 of the
South Bend Municipal Code shall be, and hereby are, deleted in
their entirety and reserved for future use.
SECTION IV. Sections 13-64 through and including 13-66, and
Sections 13-73 through and including 13-74 of the South Bend
Municipal Code shall be, and hereby are, deleted in their entirety
and reserved for future use.
SECTION V. Chapter 15, Article 2, Sections 15-8 through �
and including 15-38 of the South Bend Municipal Code shall be, and
hereby are, deleted in their entirety and reserved for future use.
SECTION VI . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
approval by the Mayor.

Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, deleting certain
current sections of the Municipal Code to prepare for
recodification of the entire South Bend Municipal Code . I am
now forwarding this ordinance to you requesting the Common
Council' s consideration.
