A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY FROM
NORTHERN INDIANA HISTORICAL SOCIETY, INC.
WHEREAS, Northern Indiana Historical Society, Inc. ("Historical Society ") is the owner of aparcel
of real property ("Real Property ") situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particularly described at
Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, Historical Society desires to transfer the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for
the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment for use in the Studebaker N ational M useum
Relocation Project within the South Bend Central Development Area; and
WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment, acting by and through its
governing body, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission desires to accept transfer of the Real Property
from Historical Society; and
WHEREAS, Historical Society, acting by and through its Board of Directors, has heretofore
approved transfer of the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department
of Redevelopment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS:
i1. The transfer of the Real Property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, and described on
the attached Exhibit "A ", by Northern Indiana Historical Society, Inc. to the City of South Bend, for
the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment, shall be, and hereby is, accepted.
2. The Director of Redevelopment for the City of South Bend shall cause the recording of the
quitclaim deed conveying all of the right, title and interest of the Northern Indiana Historical
Society, Inc. in and to the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of its
Department of Redevelopment.
3. This Resolution shall be in full farce and effect upon its adoption by the South Bend
Redevelopment Commission.
ADOPTED at a meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held on October 8, 2004,
at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601.

A part of Lot Numbered Ten (10) as shown on the recorded Plat of Ann Thomas' Subdivision of Bank Out Lot No.
Seventy -flour (74) of the First Plat of Out Lots of the Town of South Bend, now City of South Bend, Indiana, platted
by the State Bank of Indiana, which part is bounded by a line running as follows:
Beginning on the North line of West Jefferson Street, in said City, at a point One Hundred (100) feet and Five (5)
inches West of the West line of Chapin Street, in said City; thence running West on said North line of said Jefferson
Street 46 and 29/60 feet, more or less, to a point Fifty (50) feet East of the West line of said Lot Number Ten (10);
thence North 39.11 feet to a point One Hundred Twenty -two (122) feet South of the North Ilne of said Lot Number

Twenty -two (122) feet South of the Northeast corner of said Lot Ten (10), thence South Thirty -eight and Seventy -
one Hundredths (38.71) feet more or less, to the North line of West Jefferson Street, thence West on the North line
of said street, One Hundred (100) feet and five (5) inches; thence North to a point due West of the place of
