Bias were received and opened for pipe sewer on Jacob Street from -"Jefferson..BaulevArd ;to the lst alley north. The same were referred to the City Engineer f®r tabulation to be reported. On at 7:45 P.M. this 18th. day of May21915. Mr. HoAe Hillier appeared before the Board and represented. Martha ' E. Hillier,and_prese ated a plat of Oak Park 4th. Addition. (There being thirty Five (35) `lots in. all) The Board approved. of the same. Petition filed with the BoLrd for a grade ors. Dayton Street From Caroline Street to Robinson Street. The same w.s referred. to they City Eggin.eer *or a, report. Pet't.ion Filed for a grade on Randolph Street from Caroline Street V. to Robinson Street. The same was referred to the City Engineer for a report. P Remonstranetv' received and placed on rile from property owners against ,,.,graveling, grading, curbing and sialewalk on Dayton Street from Leer Street to Marine Street. E. Burner of E. Burner & Company appeared before, the Board and requested permission to close alley east of Main Street a distance of One hundred (100) feet north of Navarre Street for thirty (30) days rmile constructing the Nurses Home. The same eras granted by the Board. T_-e Board ordered a resolution prepared on petition filed with the Board on March 2.3rd.1915 for grade, curb and wall•, on Hill Street from Corby Street to Howard Street. The same was referred to tree City YCivil Engineer. Mr. E. H. Potter, Agent of the New York Central Lines in this City with Mr. W. F. The City Civil Engineer filed the tabulated bids on the Michigan Street Trunk sewer with the Board, the awarding of same was deferred until Tuesday at 'evening May 18th.1915 at 7:45 P.M. Hearing had on Improvement Resolutiosn No.: 373 for the Pavement on Mishawaka from Eddy Street�to Nineteenth Street. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared but no written remonstrance was filed. The Board after due consideration decided to defer all action on said improve- ment until Tuesday Jane lst. 1.915 at 7:45 P.M.( Mr. Geo. M. Witwer,representing Mr. J.M.Studebaker, appeared before the Board and remonstrated agn-i-st improvement at this tim , also Mr. C.D. Emmons, rep re sent ing Chicago, South Bend& Northern I�ldi n Ry. Co.) Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 375 for the graveling, Grading, ✓ sidewalk sndl curb on Dayton Street from Leer Street to Marine Stre t, In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and a remonstrance was filed. And the Board being folly advised in the are rises, decides that that the benefits to pro- perty liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimate cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes -fins. action on said resolution as o•rikinally adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified, con- firmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 22rid day of Mca.y,1915 and on the 29th. day of May,1915 in a newspaper of general. circulatio.-a in said City, stating that this Board will receive bias for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the 8th, day of June,1915 The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 374 for the Ma,ca.da.�r, Pavement on Tecumseh Avenue from Wa.kewa Avenue to Poka,gon Street. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon sal d hearing no remonstrators appeared nad no remonstrance was filed., And the Board being fully advised in the premises,° decides that the benefits to' pro- perty, liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action one said resolution as originally adopted; and the same is hereby in all things tatified confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 2aid.. day .dsf May 1915 and on the 29th. day of Mal,T,1915 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for theconstruction of saidimprovement up to 10:00 A.M. on the Sth. day of June,1915 The Board reserves=the right -to reject any and all bids. Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for Pipe sewer on Adams Street from Michigan Avenue to Vassar Avenue under Improvement -Resolution No. 314 In the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll I led April 27th. 1915 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed April 27th.1915 and the final estimate allowed April 27th- ,1915 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. 66,3 He had on assessment: roll acid final estimate for Grading on Dubail Avenue 'from High Street to Dale Avenue, mnder. In the above matter a remonstrator appeared but no written remonstrance was filed., The Board therefore find. that the property assessed in said roll filed April 27th. 1915 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further mind that the assessment roll filed April 27th.1915 and the Final estimate allowed April 27th. ,1915 should be and the sane are hereby in P11 things ratified, m nfirmed and approved. Hearing had on assessment roll and final estivate for Joint Lateral sevver on Nineteenth Street from Mishawaka Avenue to St. Joseph River, under Improvement Resolution Fo. 360. In the Cite of South Bend, Indiana. In the wbove matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the poperty assessed in said roll filed April 27th.1915 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and r_:he Board i'urther find that the assessment roll filed April 27th.1915 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. In the City of South -Bend, Indiana. In tiie above natter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. TAte Board therefore find that the property assessed in . said roll filed April 27th.1915 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as showy on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment roll Filed April 27th.,1915 and the final estimate allowed April 27th. 1915 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and. approved. A delegation of property owners residing on Franklin Street appeared before ✓the Board requesting that Board to take up the paving resolution on Franklin Street. The deferred all a:ctlon on said improvement until Tuesday May 25th.1915. at 7:45 P.M. Complain': filed by Wtis Romine, attorney for H. Davis against the dater Dept for damages to automobile. The same was read :=nd referred to the Water Dept. Contract for bids on pipe sewer on Jacob Street from. Jefferson Blvd. to first alley north was awared to L.H.Webster. -Board ordered that the Indiana & Michigan Elet;trie Company be notified to place an_90 Candle power Incandescent light at the corner of Catlapa and Sample Street. Report filed with the Board of pole in the alley at the rear of 909 Forest d Avenue as being in the way of drive. This is a home Telephone Co. pole and should be re— moved to the property line to the south about 10 feet. Board approved. said report. Let,tinb of contract for the Michigan Street Trunk sewer deferred until '"Wednesday May 19th.11915. at 11:00 A.M. The Board ordered that order s nt the In iana & Michigan Electric Co. under date of Bay 17th.01915 regarding the pacing ofj;�ast Jefferson Boulevard between Eddy Street and Jacob Street be rescinded � and install instead Seventeen(17) 60 candle power Incandescent lights on iron postsn Lafayette street on said location. The dis- tance be proportioned equally between the lights of so as to give the best lighting. It is understood that these lights are ,to cost the City the sum of Twenty two ($22.00) Dollars each as per oral agreement and as per contract of November 5th.1914. All are lights to be discontinued on said location, also cluster lights at corner of Eddy and Jefferson Blvd. President.
