Seebirt City Attorney appeared before the Board and took up the matter of the Oliver Hotel Heating Contract. No action was taken on the same. Mr. W. G. Crabill, Attorney representing the Grand Trunk Railway /Company appeared. before the Board in regard to the new style of lighting on Di'v.ision Street in the underground district along 'their right of way. The Board decided to look the situation over. 570 Tuesday January 26th. ,1915• Board net in regular session at 7:45 P.M. All members present. Permission granted the Central Union Telephone Rompany too set one pole on the west side of Lincoln Street at the blind alley between Orange and Baker St., with the understamsiing that the guy stub vViich ziovv,stands there be removed and the this pole to be placed instead jointly with. the Indiana � Michigan E'Electric Co for a guy pole. .,In regard. to the hearing on the Division Street paverrient from Mchigan. I Street to St. Joseph Street, the same was deferred until February 2nd.1915 at 7:45 ,I P.M. Communication received From Jas. E. Schock ,Captain of Police requesting the Board to furnish the.police with a corre ct list of li,=hts in the City. The same was read and placed on rile. J The Street Commissioner reported on the complaint filed try Councilamn J. Smogor, relative to defective condition of Oliver Wall along Dunham Street. Mr. Nippold promises to repair the wall_ at once. Deputy Street Commissioner made the -following report on complaint 1 that no garbage was collected in Taylor Court. Taylor Court has seve-i. rouses and this garbage is collected by private party for his own use. The same was placed on - file. Excavation bond f'or the sum of One Thousand ($12000.00)Dollars was approved by the Board signed by Lawrence E. Albrigjlt as principal, and the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co. of Baltimore, Maryle.nd as sureties. Communication received from Edw. F. Duba:il about insurance policy J 'on the City Water Works. The same was read and placed on file. Petition received f-0r a. street ? i ;ht on South 14ichigan Street about thre J three blocks south of last lamp. The same was read and placed on file. City Civil Engineer filed a report on the cost of the Bo,,.,nan Creek Trunk sewer. The same vas read and placed on file. City Civil Ewyinter filed a report of the work to be completed by Stewart -Sheets Co. on the Bowman Creek Sewer contract also estimated cost of same. The same was placed on file. Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for BoTN:man Creek J Trunk sewer from St. Joseph River to Jay Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 181,1 12, In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published on the 27th. day df January,1915 and on the 3rd. day of February 1915 in the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 16th. day of February,1915 at 7:45 P.M. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 2.7th. day of January,1915 and on the 3rd. day of February 1915 in the South Bend Dail y Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of- such work at its office in the City Hall on the 16th. day of February 1915 at 7:45 P.M.
