Board met in regular session at 10 :00 A.M. All members present.
Bids were received opened and read for pipe sewer on Adams Street from
Michigan Avenue to Vassar under Improvement Resolution No. 314. In the City of South Bend,
Indiana. The same were referred to the City Engineer for tabulation to b:e reported
back at 7:45 P.M. this 22nd. day of Decemb er,1914.
Mr. Sheets of the firm of Stewart --Sheets Co. contractors on the Bowman
ATreek Trunk sewer appeared before the Board and asked fo'r a partial estimate of $22500.00
he Board granted the same with the understanding that it would be agreeable with the
Southern Surety Company.
A check to the amount of $2,250.94 made out to the City of South Bend,
was received fro Mthe Indiana & Michigan Elec Company for the labor, material and laying
of pavement on account of underground work. Same placed to the credit of the St. Dept. earnin
Communication received from Charles S. Bosenbury, Secy. of the Board of
Health; relative to theStreet Commisioner having the snow plows keep the driveways opened
up at St. Joseph Hospital. The same was referred to the Street Commissioner with in-
structdons to keep same open.
Communication received from Lincoln Civic Club by Elmer D. Rex,also
petitions for electric ligits on East Calvert Street at jog in road , one block east of
Miami Street, and light at the intersection of Robinson and Randolph Streets. The same
was read and placed on file.
Application approved by the Board for the setting of a billboard on dump
in Studebaker Addition on Leeper Avenue.
The matter of repairing defective pavement on High. Street was taken
up with H. N. Ba rne.s Mr. T. C. Barnes to be notified to appear before the Board in regard
to the same on January 5th. 1914 at 10:00 A.M. City Engineer to write to Mr. T. C. Barnes.
Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer on
Dayton Stret from Witwer Avenue to Miami Street, under Imp^ovement Resolution No. 313. In
the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published on
the 29th., day of December,1914 and on the 4th. day of January,1915 in the South Bend Daily
Ne rs-Times, stating that . this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments
at its office in the Cite Hall on the 19th., day of January,1915.at 7:45 P.M,
Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be
accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution
shall be published on the 29th., day of December,1914 and on the 4th. day of January,
1915 in the South Bend Daily News -Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on
the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 19th., day of January,
1915 at 7:45 P.M.

No. 362. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Resolved, that: notices as to the amounts of assessment s be published
on the 29th. day of December,1914 and on the 4th. day of January,1915 in the South Bend Dai
NeWb-Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assess-
ments at its office in the City Hall on the 19th. day of January,1915 at 7:45 P.M.

Resolved,.that notices as to the amounts of assessments be,published for
six consecutive days in the South Bend Daily News -Times, commencing on the 28th. day
of December21914 stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such
assessments at its office in the C ty Hall on the 19th., day of January,1915 at 7:45 P
M.
Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be
accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolu-
tion shall he published on the 28th. day of December21914 in the South Bend Daily
Nears -Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such
work at its office 7n the City Hall on the 19th. day of Janusry,1915 at 7:45 P.M.

/ Hearing had on roll snowing awards of damages and assessments of benefits
v in the matter of Vacation Resolution No,. 13 adopted 10th. day ofNovember,1911. In the
city of South Bend, Indiana.
In the abo e matter Mr. Edwin C. Witwer the only property owner appeared
and verbally agreed to pay �100.00 instead of $131.00, as per roll filed on. May 12, 912.
The Board after due consideration decided to modify said roll to read
lQQ-00in stead of $131.00 as benefits to Mr. Edwin C. Witwer and Rosa G. Witwer, and
therefore declare the above roll filed May 12th.11912 in all things ratified, confirmed
and approved and the proceedings closed.

Trunk sewer for the amount of $2,500.00
The following telegram was received from the Southern Surety Compny and placed on file.

Mr. H. L. Greene President of the Park" Board appeared before the
Board relative to the resurfacing of North Michigan Street at the bridge, also steps
on the water Works property side of bridge. Mr. Wm. S. Moore to made a report of the
Cl/ cost of sane.
Contract for pipe sewer on Adams Street from Lincoln Way West to
Vassar Avenue, was awarded to L. H. Webster for -the amount of $1,656.20 the same not to be
started until April lst,1915.
Motion made by Mr. Rice and seended b y Mr. uteber that a letter be
written to Mr. Webster telling him that contract for adams Street sewer was awarded to
}aim with the understanding that brork be started in spring, and. to be reutnred with his
O.X. on same.
Communication received from Charles Coonley, relative to payment
,/for care of Cemetery Lot. The same was read and placed on file.
