Board instructed clerk to notify Stewart —Sheets & Company, Contractors on Bowman Creek Trunk sewer to replace ail crosswalks removed by them on Donald Street as soon as possible. Also Hoban and Roach, contractors on Broadway sewer to replace all crosswalks removed by them on Broadway Street. JCemetery Sexton.filed financial report of the City Cemetery with month ending November 30th.,1914. Tetition presented to the Board for the repairing and widening of a Jboard walk temporiarily in alley between Marion 'Street and Short Navarre Street. The Board instructed the Street Commissioner to made the necessary repairs. Application for setting b6llboard and bu-.l.etin board on Lots 5 & 6 in Bowman Is Addition on South Michigan Street by the South Billpostsng company was approved by the Board,!-,'. Complaint received of defective sidewalk at South Chapin Street' near J 548. Street Commissioner investigated same, and the Boardordered that a thirty day notice be served on John Madrasz owner of Lots 9-10-11 Ford's Sub. Div. on South Chapin Street, in this City. Tuesday December 1st. 547 Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. All members present. The following warranty deed was approved by the Board. WARRANTY DEED. ✓ THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH , That CHRIS`!' IAN M. WENGER AND 14ARY 19. WENGER, (his wife) and MARIETTA W. KREIGHBAUM, (widow) of St. Joseph County, State of Indiana CONVEY AND WARRANT to the Municipal City of South Bend, of St. Joseph County, in the State of Indiana, its successors and assigns for the sum of One and No�100 ($1.00) the following Real estate in St. Joseph County, i the State of Indiana to--wit:- A strip of land fourteen (14) feet wide extending from Haney Avenue to Indiana Avenue, in the City of South Bend, which shall be an extension of the north and South alley between High Street and Marietta Street asshown on the recorded Plat of Wenger and Kreighbaum's Third Addition to the City of South Bend; also a strip of land fourteen (14) feet wide, extending from said Haney Avenue to said Indiana Avenue, in said C-i_� y, which shall be an extension of the North avid South Alley be- tween Marietta Street and Rush Street as shown on said Plat; also a strip of land fourteen (14) feet wide, extending from said Haney Avenue to aid Indiana Avenud in said City, which shall be an extension of the North and South alley between Rush Street and Fellows Street as shwwn on said Plat; also a strip of land forty-nine -nd one-half (49-1/2) feet wide, extending from said Haney Avenue to said Indiana Avenue in said City, which shall be an ex- tension of Marietta Street as shown on said Plat; also a strip of land forty-eight (4£;-3 feet wide, extending from s€ id Haney Avenue to said Indina Avenue in said City, which shall be an extension of Rush Street as shown on said Plat; also a strip of land forty --five (45) feet wide, extending f'romsaid Haney,�Avenue to said Indiana Avenue in said City, which shall be an extension of Fellows Street as shown on said Plat; also a strip of land twenty (20) feet, wide, extending from said Haney Avefiue to said Indiana. Councilman Seifert appeared before the Board and made complaint of the smoke stack on the car barns of the Clgicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Ry. Company /on East Division Street. The Board instructed the Clerk to notify the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Ry. ompany to have their smoke stack on car barns comply with the City Ordinance governing same. 548 Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for Pipe sewer on Indiana J Avenue from Carroll Street to Miami Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 32.6. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. o Resolved, that notices assto the amounts of assessments be published on the 3rd. day of December,1914 and on the loth., day of December,1914 in the South Bend Daily News-Time§tating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office.in the City Hall on the 15th., day of Decen.br,1914 at 7:45 P.M. Resolved further , than the entire work under the above contracts be accepted €end approved and the final estimate thereon allowed.
