Board met in regular session at 16:00 A.M. All members present.
Mr. R. W. Bingham, Representing the Welsbach Street Lip�hting Company of
America with Mr. I. D. Romig appeared before the Board in regard to the contract t'or
lighting of certain streets in the Cit-T with gas. The Board having the above mentid
'mentioned matter under consideration there -was no action taken.
JCommunication received from Geo.. W. Zinky,Postmaster relative to the
sending of post cards without addresses. The" se,me was read and placed on file.
Street Commifssioner made -the following reports.
JReported that the condition would not be bettered by'changing light now at 2nd.
alley on Parry Street to 3rd. alley on same. Street. But reported that a new limit
can be i,,istalled at some future date.
Reported walks between Michigan Central Trarcks on Cedar Street are all planked.
Requested that Notice be sent Archie Forsythe, Division Foreman of building at Niles
ivlichigan:. Notice ordered sent.
JReported walk in dangerous conditio n at S. E. Corner of Sherman Avenue and Van
Buren Street. City Contractor ordered to repair same.
J Reported that sidewalk at"S99 S. Chapin Street is in bad condition. The same was
ordered tobe fixed.
Communication received from the India.m & Mi.c=!igan Elec. Company with
I a copy of letter from'the J. W. Turner Company of Des.-Moiries ,Iowa, relative to
.! some differences of opinion concerning the repaving over their underground ducts. Th
The same was taken up with the Street. Commissioner, and he reported that a i inch
croVi was being put in. The same was Band placed on file.
A statement was received from Dr. Stanley A. Clark for the such.of
Seven ($7.00)Dollars for X Ray examination of ankle for G. W. Keiser. The same
placed on File.
J Mr. Matthius Feser appeared before the Board. In re hard to the
paying of labor and for material o the Olive Street repair job, the Board decided
that the check on file in this office of Joseph Swzeda's for Fifty one —Dollars
and twenty cents ($51.20) should be used to pay same.

Indiana.
Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared(remonstrancing against the Eddy St.
sewer being built this fall) but no written remonstrance was filed. And the Board being
fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed
for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City
Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as org;inally adopted,
and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the Ind. day of October 1914
and on the 9th., day of October,1914 in a newspaper of general Circulation in said City,
stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to
10:00 A.M. on the 20i;h. , day of October,1914. The Board reserves the right to reject any
and all bids.
The above resolution was approved with the understanding that', the bias were to be received
and contract let this fall, work on Parry and Francis Street to be completed this fall,but
Eddy Street part to remain until Spring.of 1915.

Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared but no written remonstrance i,7,,as
filed. The Board after due consideration dPoided to deferred all action On the above
resolution until Tuesday April 13th.,19�5 at 7:z_5 P.M. Property owners to be notified by
cards before hearing.

The City Engineer submitted the list of property owners in the matter of
✓'bhe appropriation of certain property under Condemnation Resolution No. ,28 shown in
Resolution No. 28. on Page 202 Record 5, w-lich list includes the names of the owners and
r olders of property and of interests therein soulght to be taken or beneficially or in-
juriously effected, and the description of the several pieces of property which is affected
by the said appropriation proceedings.
Thereupon the Board proceeded to award the damages sustained and to
assess the benefits accruing to each piece of property,upon said list.
It was thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously
adopted, resolved that said list, together with the amounts of benefits and damages and
net )benefits and net damages therein set forth as to the serveral parcels of land be
adopted and that the respective amount of benefits contained in said list be and are hereby
.assessed against the several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said list, and

,wa.rded to the several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said list, and that the
, .t benefits or -net -damages, as the case may be as to -the respective. tracts of land, con--

The Board hereby further sets off the benefits and damages each against

tract of land or interest, and hereby fixes said respective net benefits as the'_amount
`::fiat small be paid by the respective owners as benefits, and further hereby fixes the re—
spective net damages as to the several tracts as the amount that shall be paid to the
c.;,rners of the respective tracts as damages.

Thereupon, upon motion duly made and seco ded and unanimously adopted,
at 7.45 P.
the eleventh day of May 19 15 was fixed as the day on which this
Board will receive or hear remonstrances from persons with regard to the amount of
their 'respective awards or assessments, and'the Clerk of t'-is Board was instructed to
prepare and cause to be duly and legally given, notices to the owners of each parcel
of property, showing the amount . of the assessment or award, with a, description of the
property affected, and thE- date of s2 id hear°ing.
