Martin, Clerk Board of Public Works FROM: Tara Weigand, Project Engineer "'XJ SUBJECT: Award Project No. 11 8-048A 2018 Tree and Stump Removal DATE: July 16, 2018 On June 12, 2018, - the Board of Public Works awarded the above project to the low quoter Kachur Tree Service, LLC, However, following the award of contract the Contractor indicated to the City that he wished to reject their bid and signature from the contract. In response, a Notice of Termination was sent to Kachur Tree Service, LLC. Following the contract termination, the next lowest quoter, K & R Tree Service was contacted. They indicated that they would honor the quote they submitted for this project, which was opened and read at the May 8, 2018 Board of Public Works meeting. As a result, I recommend award of a contract for 2018 Tree and Stump Removal to the next lowest responsive / responsible quoter, K & R Tree Service in the amount of $ 15,625.00.
