The Clerk read letter received �rom L. "T. �:icGann complimenting the
}3oard and Chief Lenon for the splendid co-operation that vras �iven
in handling the Rockne funeral. I�Tr. r:icGann enclosed check for �2;5.00
whieh he vrished to be given , to Policemen and Firemen P.ension Funds.
On recommendation of Chief Lenon, and on motion of T.ir. Lono, seconded
by ��r. Gadacz, the Board ordered �he Clerk to purchase a Studebaker
Dictator-six Sedan from Scherman-Schaus T�otor Company, at a cost of
�870.50. The Chi ef explained thi s car vrould be used as utility car
for thi s depa.rtment . �

Clerk, ���lm P. Do�r�nes, stated to the }3oard tha,t he and I::r. �ualls had
since last December approached �-,r. b'�m F. Allen, proprietor of the
Poledor �arage, in regard to a s�tlement for the damaged traffic
si�nal at the, corner o� �;tichigan and I,aSal.le Streets. TSeither iir.
Allen nor his attos�ney vvould give the representatives of the Board
any satisfaetion. After hearing the details of the case, the Board
ordered the Clerk to get in touch �rith �;Zr. Clements, City Attorney,
give him all the details and have him file suit immediately against
the follo�aving parties: ?'Jm F. Allen, proprietor of Poledor Gara.ge;
Homer Hudson, employee of T:'r. A11en and driver of the car;
Sa.muel Gentle, o�;rner of the car. �
