In he absence of Chief I,enon, �ssistant Chief ��vmond reported on
the activities of the Department ior the past r�eek.
The Board instructed Chief Raymond to have the men �vho receivec� low
sco es durin� target practice to continue practicin� until such
tim as the Chief eonsidered each man up to standard.
On . otion of I"r. T,ont„ seeonded by Z'r. Gadacz, the Roard instructed
the clerk to purchase two tear-;as billy clubs t'or use in the
Pol' ee Department.
On otion of �"r. LonS, seconded by '`r. Gadacz, tt �r�as decided to
obt in samples, from different liniform companies, of li�ht-�.�ei�ht
�ini e�rm material for police offi.cers summer uniforms. The ?3oard
dec ded that T`r. :adacz a,nd the Clerk were to handle this.
The T�oard instructe� tne clerk to notify the Chief of Police tY►at.,
in ne future , all-ni;ht patrolmen must carry 3II caliber revolvers.
In z. ieti�� of the �act tha.t sever�l of the men are carryin� other
caI'ber revolvers, the Clerk �vas told to see that these `�rere taken
in nd others purchased i£ necessary. This to be done immediately.
