No report was given of the Electrical Department' s activities during
the past week due to the absence of Superintendent �'yualls.

Applications of Lloyd 1Roats and rloyd Rohrodaugh were approved �and.
ordered placed on �ile.
� The Board instructed the Clerk to inform Captain of Police Raymond
to paint "Slotiv't on the pavement of Eddy Street at P'adison Street, also
on Notre Dame Avenue pave�►ent at Corby Street; To install �ubber «Stopn
sign on Ford Street at `;Jalnnt Street; To install rubber ttStop" sign
on both sides of Iromvood Drive at rRCKinley 1lvenue �nd to eliminate
the painted�'�top1T at fTcKinley and in its stead paint "Slow". �
Chi ef of Police Lenon made report of the Conventi on of the Inter-
national Association of Chiefs of Police , �rhich he attended in Duluth,
P."inn. , August 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th.
On motion of l'.Tr. Gadaca, second by �.�r. Long, the Clerk was authorized
to purchase the necessary number of "School" and "Stop" si�ns needed
before the openin�� o� school.
DOG POUN4�
�,�Im P. Downes, made a report for Sup' t Kemmerly and Pond x`aster Fowler
in regard to their trip to Chicago last week. Fie stated that they had
been taught hov� to catch dogs wi th the apparatus recently purchased for
them.
