Special Meeting November 27 in the Board of Public
Safety offices called to order at 10 a.m. by vice - President
Earl E. Reeder. Ivir. Engeldrum was unable to attend the meeting.
Dr. Johnston was present.
Mr. Reeder ordered the clerk to notify all bidders for
1,000 feet of fire hose to attend the meeting for the tabulation
of the various bids
Three sealed bids were opened and the clerk made the
following tabulation:

Bid presented by A. Baker agent, 'for 1,000 feet as per
specifications as outlined in ads, in legal notices 2z inch
Double Jacket Fire Hose; equipped with Rocker Zug
couplings. Guaranteed 400 lbs. pressure. Delivered F.O.B.
South Bend. Discount 2`/0 10 days.

thhn explained the-quality of hose which his firm could
furnish and Dittmier explained the bid of the Hamilton firm
and Hull explained the Manhatten bid.
On motion of Dr. Joshnston and a confirmation
by Mr. Reeder the contract was awarded to the Hamilton
Rubber Mfg. Company for Hamilton hose and the bid of X1,00
was accepted. The Clerk was ordered to issue requisition
for same.
Following the awarding of the contract the
Board of Safety passed a motion to instruct the Supt . of the
Electrical department to co- operate with other City Departments
in the decorating of the city parks, bridges and municipal
buildings for the Chrietama$ season. Colored lights to be
placed on bridges and in the parks and at any other places
the various departments may deem adviseable.
Motion prevailed to- adjourn at 11 :30 a.m.
