Monday December 3rd., 1928
Xleting was called to order at 415 P.11.
All members were present.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.
FIRE DEPT.
Fire Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid.
Motion prevailed that the applications of B.J.Wentland and Robert Hosinski
be accepted and ordered placed on file.
ELECTRICAL DEPT.
Electric &il Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid.
lvlotion prevailed that the.weekly report of Supt. Qualls for the week ending
December 2nd. be approved and ordered placed on file.
POLICE DEPT.
Police Dept. bil._s were approved and orde-red paid.
110tion prevailed that the applications of Wallace li illiken, and liIiron L. n
Densmore be accepted and ordered placed on file.
Motion prev -piled that the fifteen minute waiting zmne at 210 -212 -214
S. St. Joseph St. be extended from 32 feet to 57 feet.
Tuotion.- prevailed that a 32 foot loading zone be established in front of
the Progressive Bakery at 431 :S. Chapin St.
A petition was received by the Board for a. traffic siga.nl at Ewing Ave.
and S. Tda.in St. signed by ltlrs. 1,1aude Beers, C.E Cowgill and others.
Upon the recommendation of Chief Hatt after careful investigation motion
prevailed that the petition be denied.
Chief Hatt, Asst. Chief Kuespert, and 11r. Engeldrum who composed the
Committee to investigate the necessity for signals on Williams St.
reported that sign.^ls would destroy the purpose of the BylPass- Route,
end that the proper solution to this problem would be detail Police
Of- 'icers at certain intersections along William St. during the hours
when traffic was the heaviest on 'dilliam St.
Jlotion prevailed that the recommendations of the committee be followed..

Motion prevailed that in accordance with City Ordinance # 2629 Officer
asimer Luzny be awarded 10.00 per mon for a period of 10 months begin -
'ng December 1928 payroll in reconization of his act of valor in saving
he life of one or more persons at an accident at the New York Central
epot on November 10th., 1928.
'Lotion prevailed that Detective Harold Whitmer be promoted to the rank of
ergt. effective Jan. lst. 1929 in reconization of his a.c.t of bravery
n capturing a: filling station bandit in the act of robbing a: filling
ta.tion on the night of November 25th., 1928.
