Boards Office
Tuesday October 23rd., 1928.
Meetigg was called to order by Vice President Earl R. Reeder at 4:00
P.M.
Mr. Engeldrum was not present.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.

FIRE DEPT.
A contract,a.copy of which is on file in this office, between the City
of South Bend, and the Town of Roseland for Fire protection to be given
` to the Town of Roseland for a period of three years beginning November
loth., 1928 was signed by the membef°s of the Board, and ordered sent to
the common council for approval.
The bids from the Hamilton Rubber Mfg..Co., Bi- Lateral Fire Hose Co.,
and the Manhattan Rubber Mfg. Co. for, fire hose as advertised in the
news papers according to law wrre opened and tabulated.
Motion prevailed that in the absence;; of Fire Chief Knoblock the bids
be held over until the next regular meeting, and that a. copy of such bids
be kept on file in this office.

Electrical Dept. bills were approved and ordte.re,d paid.
Motion prevailed that th_ weelKly report of Supt. Qualls for week ending
October 15th., 1928.

Motion prevailed that the applications of Vernon Doyle Ryder,, Marvin F.
Moore, Walter F. Huggins, R.J.Reedy be appepted` and ordered placed on file
Motion prevailed that the Official Bond `of Officer Thomas Nowak nameing
Joseph Voorde, and Marion 6'cesolowski as surety be accepted and ".ordere`d
placed on file.
Motion prevailed that loading zones be established at the fmllowin6
locations
