MONDAY SEPTEMBER 24th.,128.
The regular meeting,of the Board of Public Safety was called
to order in the Board office at 4 p.m. The meeting of Sept.17
was postponed since there was no business to come before the boarc.

]lotion otion prevailed to allow and pay bills.presentec 1 by the
Fi±4 department. Motion prevailed to advertise for bids on 1,000
feet of Fire hose and that the bids be sentvto the Board of S'afet y
Office on or before -October 15th at 10 a.m. said bid to be opened
at the regular meeting October 15th at 4 p.m.-
Applications of Valentine Atvas,Emil DeWispelaere and Howard
Lutes were approved for the Fire Dept. and ordered blaced,on file,
Electrical Dept, bills were approved and ordered paid. Motion
prevailed to file the..-.weekly report.

Motion prevailed to allow bills for the Weights and Measures
Dept. and the same ordered paid.:'Weekly reportvof same dept. was

Police Dept, bills were approved and.ordered paid.
Motion prevailed to advertise for bids for the purchase of
three new motorcycles purchase to be made October 15th. at 4 p.m.
The fallowing requests were granted- Waiting zone in front of
The Gas Co. N.-Mic#igan street same at 8:14 and 816S. Main street.
Shafer and Hollings th T r ner Company. The same was referred to the
Street Marking Divi:iffforaction.
Motion prevail'6\d. to -instruct the Police to o use all available
motorcycle men in cntt g donna the speed of 'busses and taxies,.
The application o.f\Arthur Bishop was accepted and ordered
placed on file.
Motion prevailed to allow Mr. Qualls of the Electrical Dept.,
to attend a convention in Indianapolis Monday and Tuesday ,Oct.1 andZ
nd.
Motion prevailed to adjourn at 5:20 p.m.
