Monday May 14th. , 1928

Fleeting was called- to order at 4:10
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.
FIRE DEPT.
Fire Dept. bills were approved and ordered,plid..
ELECTRICAL DEBT.
Electrical Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid.
11otion prevailed that a Fire Alarm Box be erected in the viscinity of
Ford and Kaley St. Exact location to be determined. by Chief Knoblock.
lotion pteva.iled that in.the interest of public safety veeommenda.tion
be made to the Board of Public Works that a street light be erected
at the intersection of East Jefferson Blvd. and 26th., St.
DEPT. OF WEIGHTS & Iv1EASURES
City.Sea.lers bills were approved and ordered paid.
POLICE DEPT.
Motion prevailed that the application of Lydia Vaughn for appointment
as a. Police �,Vomen or ide-tron be approved and ordered placed on file.
Idotion prevailed that the bond of officer Chester tvdilmont na.meing
Eugene Zimmer, Lazasur Altfeld, and. OcA.Clark as sarety be approved
and ordered placed on file.
IRayor Mlontgomer meet with the Board and asked that special attention
be given to checking double pa.rkinE, and asked that offenders be dealt'
with more severly.
The work that is being done and the 'arrests that are being made by the.
Motorcycle Squad was the subject of discussion, and Chief Hatt was
commended for the edf &ancy shown by the newly organized lidotorcycle
S quad.
Motion prevailed that the Police Dept. assist in handling tl:a.ffic
for the Air Meet to be held Iaa.y 19th.T and 20th., at the St. Joseph
V ^liey'Avia.tion Field Forth East of the City.
Metion prevailed to adjourn at 5:55 P -11.
