The regular'meet.ing of the Board of Public "Safety was held in the
Boards Office
Monday April 16th.21928
Mr. Engeldrum and Mr. Reeder were present.
Meeting was called to order ate4 :05 P.T. by president Engeldrum
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.
FIRE DEPT.
Fire Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid.
Motion prevailed that.upon the request of Chief Knoblock the matter of
`
purchasing a, new chemic -pl for the Fire Dept. be'investigated without'"
delay.
ELECTRICAL DEPT.
Electrical Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid.
Supt. walls reported that another By Pass Route stop sign hss been
built and is ready to be erected at Colfax Ave. and - Williams St.
Motion prevailed that John M. Ginz be appointed as an operator at
the Police & Fire Alarm Signal Station to begin duty April 15th., 1928.
Motion prevailed that the weekly report of Supt. tiZualls for the week
ending April 15th. be accepted and ordered placed on file.
DEPT. OF WEIGHTS AidD MEASURES
Motion prevailed that the weekly report of City Sealer Burns for the
previous week be accepted and orderer. placed on file.
POLICE DEPT..
Police Dept. bi1ls were approved and ordered paid.
Motion
Motion prevailed that,the bond.of Officer E.O,TJelson nameing the Nation-
Surety Co., of New York City as surety be approved.
Motion prevailed that Chief Hatt be instructed to keep a careful watch
and to be' certain _ that no police officer be allowed to preform any
.duties of a police officer unless he be under bond as provided by law
in the sum of $1,000.
Motion prevailed to adjourn at 5:00 P.1,..
