Subject: Professional Design Services related to Oliver Park Improvements
Date: February 17, 2011
Attached to this memo is a proposal from Danch, Harner and Associates, Inc. (DHA) to provide
additional design services related to the completion of the Oliver Industrial Park improvements
currently under construction. DHA has done all of the design work and construction plan
preparation for this project and this proposal ties up several loose ends necessary to complete the
project.
The proposal will provide funding for the following items:
1. Historical-Information Sign design & Coordination $2,800.00
2. Construction/Design Supervision 3 100.00
TOTAL $5,900.00
It is anticipated that many of the elements will be finished on-site this spring after the weather
breaks and a final dedication of the sculpture of James Oliver in the Oliver Park Plaza is tentatively
scheduled for late July or early August. To make sure the elements fit together and get completed
in an effective and efficient manner, staff respectfully requests approval of this proposal.

Re: Proposal for Professional Design Services:
a) Historical/Informational Sign Panels
Dear Mr. Schalliol,
Danch Harner & Associates is pleased to submit this proposal for professional services
for your consideration. It is our understanding that this project will include coordinating
the design and layout of the historic/informational panels with Fossil Graphics, Inc. by
using information and photos from the Center for History; and supervision to the
ongoing construction of the Oliver Chilled Plow Memorial
Task 1: Historical-Informational Sictn Design 8~ Coordination:
a) This task will include organizing text, photographic, and graphic illustrative
information on ten (10) 18" x 24" panels. These panels will include a common
theme throughout and portray the history of James Oliver, the Chilled Plow, and
the Oliver Company. We will work closely with Fossil Graphics to ensure that the
information and design quality fit the Oliver Chilled Plow Memorial project.
The preliminary panels will be submitted to you for final approval before
manufacturing.
Cost for this task would be $2,800
Task 2: Construction /Design Supervision:
a) This task will include oversight for the current Oliver Chilled Plow
Memorial construction project through submittal approvals, design review, and
on site construction techniques.
Cost for this task would be $3,100
