MEETING December 30, 1935
Regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday,
December 30, 1935 at 9:15 A. M. All members were present.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.
Requisitions bearing numbers 08786 to 08790 were approved. - Claims
in the amount of $956.54, from the following suppliers, were approved
and ordered paid.

FIRE DEPARTMENT - Chief Freeh present:
Matters pertaining to the Fire Department were discussed and the
Board instructed the,Secretary to write-a letter of thanks for their
cooperation at the time of the recent fire to the following: Y. M. C. A."
American Red Cross, American Legion and 0. A. Clark.
Application for position as fireman was filed by Peter M. Bobrick
and ordered placed on file.
ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT Mr. Qualls present:
The Board authorized Mr. quails to purchase one Ford V-8 auto-
mobile for 1. u 11 s,5 in the Electrical Depar'tment at a price not to exceed
six hundred,&b1lars, which is set up in the budget for 1936 . for this
purpose.
POLICE DEPARTMENT - Chief Lane present:
Mat I ters pertaining to the Police Department were discussed and it
seconded was moved by Mr. Woodward, by Mr. Anderson and regularly
carried that the Chief of Police be ordered to instruct his officers to
see that the law with reference to the sale of liquor after one o'clock
New Year's Eve be fully observed.
Mr. . Peter J. Marchelewicz appeared before the Board and requested
no parking on the north side of Spencer Street between St. Joseph and
Michigan Streets. The Secretary was instructed to request the Police
Department to enforce no parking, as now established.

Controller's budget: Casimir Kubiak, Bert Olmstead, Homer Ames, Doyal
Rhymer, Louis Kish, Ellsworth Butz and Richard J. Gillen.
The Chief submitted his report of the activities of,the Potilce
Department during the year 1935, which report may be found in h file
in the Board' of PIublic Safety.
