The final regular meeting of the'Board of Public Safety was held on
Friday, December 28, 1934 at 2:00 P. M. Mr. Trost absento Mr. Geo.
Thurn of the incoming administration present throughout the meeting.

FIRE DEPARTNENT.,
Fire Chief Roy A. Knoblock presented time sheets and the recommendations
for the improvement of the fire department customarily made at the end
of each year.
The application of Alex Vargyas approved and ordered placed on file.
ELECTRICAL DEPART�.ENT:
Supt. Wm. F. qualls present and reported the activities of his depart-
ment for the week.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
A petition of the Union Bus Lines requesting a bus loading zone in
front of 214 N. Michigan St. was presented by h1r.,-Frank Coughlin, thibir
attorney, and upon motion by Mr. McSorley, seconded by Mr. Gadacz it
was decided that such loading zone be granted.
Acting Chief, Horace M. Hamilton, present and the activities of his
department discussed.
A request for a six monthst leave of absence was granted officer Kenneth
Logan on motion by Mr. Gadacz, seconded by Mr. McSorley.
On motion by 1,1r. Gadacz, seconded by Mr. TdcSorley,Casimir Kubiak was
reinstated to the police department effective December 31, 1934 and the
Chief was instructed to assign him to work where he saw fit.
The application of Jos. E. Ball approved and ordered pl4ced on file.
WEIGHTS & MEASURES:
City Sealer Burns, report received, scrutinized and ordered placed on
file.
